End of the season, rise of the Cavalry! (Update v.0.9.1.6.2 – Steam Patch 213)

Hello warriors!

A new weekly update has been applied! Thanks to the players’ feedback we’ve made a lot of improvements to the mounts system. We’d like to thank everyone who tried it out since the last week!

On top of that, we’ve made several significant improvements to the players’ synchronization and balance tweaks. Also, the assists system has been updated to reward the players who commit to one of the hardest jobs in the group vs group combat: tanks. Check all these changes on your own!

Moreover, we’d like to give you the date of the new Glory season’s start! The current season will end on Thursday, Mar. 12th. Also, we’d like to remind that the last day of the season – Wednesday – will be a dedicated day of the season's end. It will not be possible to earn or lose the Nation Points at this day and the scoreboards of other season-based rankings (Glory and Arena) will be frozen then. However, it is the last chance to donate your NP to your guild as the Guild Points. When the new season starts, the Nation Points collected by a player will count from 0 as the new season will begin.

A little explanation for the new players: Glory is a season-based ranking which rewards you for activity in the faction v faction v faction PVP. The seasons last about 2 months and the top players are rewarded with unique titles, achievements and gold. Also, every Thursday night you’ll get Contribution Points – an in-game currency used to purchase special items from the Glory Quartermasters. The amount of earned CP depends on your position in the leaderboard, so climb up!

Take your chances and climb up the ranking ladders over these last few days of this season. The fame and rewards await!

See you in battle!

P.S. As it’s been happening for quite a while already, authors of the screenshots have been rewarded. Cadet LIU, [Myrm]Fable09 and P0pS – check your Ambers!
Changelog v.0.9.1.6.2

Synchronization:
As we were working on the mounts system, we made several improvements to synchronizing the players’ position. These changes should greatly help reduce the occasional desync which used to happen when either client- or server-side framerate was lowered.

– Significantly improved the synchronization for players having lowered client’s framerate or spiking FPS
– Improved synchronizing the player’s position when running or sprinting continuously for a longer time, which could cause an edge-case desynchronization
– Improved synchronization in the case of lowered server’s framerate
Balance:
– Updated the mechanics of assists for Glory and Nation Points rankings – from now on, players who stunned or staggered the enemy, or blocked an enemy attack, will receive an large share of the assist counted for each attack which will connect to this enemy over the time when he’s immobilized or can’t attack; this change should greatly change the experience of team players, namely tanks who do the hard job to make the enemies vulnerable, as now they will be rewarded better for playing their role in formation effectively
– Updated the sabotage events taking place at the central minor flags (farms, mines and lumbermills), adding the missing events at Baalhammon Farm, Baalhammon Lumbermill, Basilea Farm and Basilea Lumbermill
– Updated the resources balance at minor farms close to the capital city of each nation, standardizing the number of each resource at every farm – the biggest change was done to the Sunflower nodes, which weren’t present at Baalhammon Farm and Basilea Farm, and weren’t balanced properly for the 4 remaining farms
– Removed the remaining Pumpkin nodes from the farm areas and safezones, since they didn’t have any real use in the game
Quality of Life:
– Client-side optimization improvements to the mounts
– From now on, training the Agility attribute should increase the mount’s turning rate
– Added tooltips to the mount’s statistics in the Mount Panel (already applied in the Friday’s hotfix)
– Added the help text for the mounts system which can be displayed in the Stable window and Mounts Panel (already applied in the Friday’s hotfix)
– From now on, the wild mounts in the homeground of each nation are moving around to prevent taming them by bots without the necessity to make the wild horses extremely rare
– Improved the interface’s feedback when entering an invalid mount’s name after taming a wild horse
– Updated the Mount Panel’s interface, moving a button removing a mount to a new place, making space for a button allowing to call a mount (already applied in the Friday’s hotfix)
– Standardized the maximum distance allowing to use the Stable window and the max distance to talk to the Stablemaster (already applied in the Friday’s hotfix)
– Added displaying an icon of the player’s own mount on the map and minimap
– Updated the minimap icons of Logistician and Stablemaster (already applied in the Friday’s hotfix)
– Updated the notifications displayed when earning money or Contribution Points – now they should stack properly and they also display the total money/CP owned by the player
Fixes:
– Fixed a bug preventing a player from opening the building repair window unless the player was mounted (already applied in the Friday’s hotfix)
– Fixed problems with hits detection which were caused by the mount’s collider which was still attached to the player after the mount has been killed
– Fixed a bug causing that the mount could swim on the server while remaining still on the client
– Fixed a bug causing that the mount’s regeneration worked only while standing still – it should now work properly while moving with the marching speed
– Fixed the reported cases of wild horses which have been attacked by the NPC guards
– FIxed a bug causing that the trebuchets used for the recently added Ismir questline used to disappear at nightlock
– Fixed a bug causing that the average market price in the offer creation window was displayed with misplaced values
– Fixed a bug causing that the Upcoming Events window didn’t show all the available siege events if the player has just left an active siege event and closed the pending events invitations
– Fixes to several level design glitches
– Fixes to reported resources placement issues
