MEET the SBM-2 "Shark"!

[p]Hello, my brothers in arms![/p][p]Today, I take you beneath the icy ocean waves, into the presence of one who feeds on salt and steel: the SBM-2 "Shark" submarine![/p][p][/p][p]Military history buffs will immediately notice how much this model recalls the military submarines of World War II, and indeed, it is inspired by them.[/p][p]When technology was still secondary to human courage, the intrepid sailors who sailed the depths in the belly of this metallic monster laid the foundations for a new type of warfare: submarine warfare.[/p][p][/p][p]Underwater battles are much slower and more strategic than surface battles, where every submarine and every ship is a piece in a great chess game.[/p][p]In my game, I'm trying to convey this abysmal slowness, this alternate passage of time, where the soldier will be enveloped in solitude and darkness, but it won't be that easy, as it will be part of a much faster gameplay.[/p][p]As always, I'll do my best![/p][p][/p][p]The Shark is a large submarine with two crew members.[/p][p]Don't be fooled by the fact that it's "vintage," otherwise you'll soon be joining the fish.[/p][p]The helmsman will be in command of the vessel and will be able to launch the fearsome torpedoes from six launch tubes. Furthermore, he will have a dual 12.7 mm machine gun, designed primarily for anti-aircraft defense (yes, there are torpedo bombers too!), but also very useful for dispatching small surface enemies.[/p][p]The second crew member will also have the same machine gun, located on the rear, and a powerful 105 mm cannon. Obviously, this weapon won't be able to fire while submerged, but it will prove to be a powerful weapon against surface targets, such as small ships, boats, and hostile marine life. It could also prove excellent for sinking larger ships if they're already dead and you want to save your precious torpedoes.[/p][p][/p][p]Speaking of torpedoes![/p][p]This game features several types of torpedoes, from the more classic to the more technologically advanced; the type of torpedo carried will depend on the type of vessel.[/p][p]In this case, the Shark carries classic torpedoes, the slow and inexorable ones that only move in the direction they are launched.[/p][p]Although they lack autonomous target-finding capabilities, they have the great advantage of being inexpensive, which means they can be transported in large numbers before returning to refuel.[/p][p][/p][p]In "Home Wars: Battlefield," there will be several types of submarines, including strategic ones for hitting land targets, but these will be revealed gradually as development progresses.[/p][p][/p][p]For now, enjoy these preview images and share your thoughts and suggestions in the comments.[/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD WATER BUG IS A DEAD WATER BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

MEET the Assault Mech MH-1 "Prometheus"!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]Today is starting to feel a bit sci-fi, but squashing insects requires firepower beyond the ordinary![/p][p]Introducing the MH-1 "Prometheus" Assault Mech![/p][p][/p][p]This mech is designed to assault enemy lines conventionally and without frills![/p][p]Two crew members operate it:[/p][p]- The first, in addition to being the pilot, has two 12.7 mm rotating machine guns, excellent for faster targets, and two large pods containing 127 mm high-explosive rockets. For now, I'm undecided about using the pods for two different types of ammunition.[/p][p]- The second is responsible for ensuring a secure perimeter for the vehicle; he can count on a quad 7.62 mm machine gun and two small pods containing 20 mm rockets.[/p][p][/p][p]One of this beast's most significant advantages is also one of its greatest weaknesses: its height.[/p][p]This provides excellent visibility on the battlefield, allowing it to target enemies hiding behind cover. However, it can also be hit by enemies far away, creating a large enough silhouette to be easily hit.[/p][p][/p][p]I already have a series of classes of this type of mech ready, such as an anti-tank version, an anti-aircraft version, and an anti-infantry version, among others.[/p][p]I've also prepared 3D models of some "vehicles" that are neither mechs nor exosuits, but something in between.[/p][p][/p][p]I dedicate this mech to the memory of the "big chickens" from BF2142, one of the best games of all time.[/p][p][/p][p]If you have any questions, please feel free to write and I'll be happy to answer them :)[/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

MEET the "Aedes albopictus"!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]Today, we're switching sides and analyzing one of our future adversaries: the "Aedes albopictus"![/p][p][/p][p]The Aedes albopictus, also known as the tiger mosquito, is a tiny insect, as small as it is annoying.[/p][p]Mosquitoes generally strike at night, but not these! They're so brazen that they strike during the day, in plain sight, confident in their superiority and driven by their insatiable thirst for human blood![/p][p]Just think, the Aedes albopictus is among the 100 most harmful invasive species in the world.[/p][p]How many beautiful summer afternoons have been ruined by the arrival of a pack of these damned creatures that started tearing your legs apart?[/p][p]But now, thanks to HWB, you can repay them some of the pain they suffered, even if only virtually.[/p][p][/p][p]In the game, the Aedes albopictus are slow-flying insects with little resistance to enemy attacks.[/p][p]"A walk in the park," you might say, but it's not![/p][p]This insect's attack is powerful compared to its resistance; it can also regenerate health after each successful attack. Of course, it's not a solitary animal, so when you spot it, it'll most likely be within a formation of Aedes albopictus, which becomes very dangerous in groups.[/p][p][/p][p]To counter this creature, all you need are arm weapons, good aim (because they're thin), and medium-low anti-aircraft armaments. Forget the more sophisticated anti-aircraft guns; those are best for hornets, jets, and pterodactyls![/p][p][/p][p]If you want to play as these infamous creatures, know that speed isn't your best bet.[/p][p]Stay out of sight of the enemy as much as possible, and then, when you're close enough, hit them as many times as you can, perhaps moving in circles.[/p][p]In fact, if you think about it, in gameplay, you should be just as annoying as they are to us![/p][p][/p][p]In the photos below, I've quickly simulated what a group attack on a poor soldier might look like.[/p][p]Do you think the soldier would have died or not?[/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p]( ... these are annoying even to death because they leave a blood stain on your fingers and you have to wash them afterwards!)[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

MEET the "F-14 Mav"!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]Today, I bring you my favorite aircraft of all time (and I'm sure others will agree).[/p][p]Today, I present to you the legendary "F-14 Mav"![/p][p][/p][p]Of course, I can't use the original names, but I tried to get as close as possible to retain the spirit of that movie we all loved![/p][p][/p][p]The F-14 was born as an interceptor and was widely used by the Navy.[/p][p]Its strengths, besides its aesthetics (which makes me feel like a teenager at my favorite boy band concert every time I see it), were its powerful engines, a highly advanced radar, and above all, its armament.[/p][p]This aircraft's AA missiles had an insane range for its time, which could lead to its enemies being destroyed before they even knew of the existence of good old "Tommy."[/p][p][/p][p]In my game, I tried to maintain the "sacredness" I have for this aircraft, without forcing it to be the best of all the others (and I tell you, there are SO MANY!).[/p][p]In translating our Mav from reality to the video game, I ran into a significant problem: in the front, there's the pilot, who's incredibly cool, we all know that, but in the back, there's another crew member... what the hell do I make the second crew member do???[/p][p]In reality, he was in charge of managing the powerful radar and maintaining communications, but in my game, this made no sense.[/p][p]So that amazing BF3 mission aboard the plane comes in handy![/p][p]Reworking the idea a bit, the second crew member will have additional AA missiles at his disposal and will be able to lock onto enemies independently, obviously taking into account the trajectory of his own plane.[/p][p][/p][p]Both crew members will have a certain number of missiles, likely of different power and different locking methods. One of these two missiles will be unique to the F-14 Mav (this is my little tribute to the king) and will have the greatest range and power compared to the other AA missiles. Obviously, even more powerful missiles can be launched from the ground. The pilot will also be able to use a 20mm rotary cannon, great for close-in enemies and when the cool missiles run out![/p][p][/p][p]In short: the Mav will be an interceptor fighter, therefore geared exclusively for air superiority.[/p][p]It can have two crew members, both with offensive capabilities and health insurance![/p][p]What are the king of the skies' main enemies?[/p][p]Definitely ground-based anti-aircraft, although it will also be able to rely on flares.[/p][p]Furthermore, fast units like flies, dragonflies, and the most modern stealth aircraft, which missiles can't lock on to, could give it a hard time.[/p][p][/p][p]Stay tuned, and tell all your friends, because I'm trying to include so many units and vehicles that it will take you weeks to test them all![/p][p][/p][p]PS: In the photos below, you will also find a very accurate, high-definition reconstruction of the most famous scene from the film that we all love.[/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

MEET the "Boxer"!

[p]Hello, my brothers in arms![/p][p]Today, we go back in time and introduce you to one of the gladiators of the past: the "Boxer"![/p][p][/p][p]The Boxer is a tank designed to counter other armored threats. It doesn't have a turret, but it does have a dangerous 75mm frontal gun, equipped with a small range of motion. This gun is equipped with armor-piercing rounds, ideal for penetrating enemy armor.[/p][p]In addition to the gun, it has four 7.62mm machine guns mounted on each side, perfect for defending the tank's perimeter.[/p][p][/p][p]The Boxer is capable of entering and exiting dangerous situations on its own, as long as they aren't excessively dangerous.[/p][p]It is relatively slow, and its armor isn't particularly thick.[/p][p]The Boxer's most suitable role is probably as an anti-armor sniper tank.[/p][p][/p][p]The Boxer is clearly inspired by a WW1 tank. Can you tell me which one?[/p][p][/p][p]Ironically, I wanted to nickname it the "baguette tank," but I later realized that might be offensive to our French comrades.[/p][p][/p][p]I still have a ton of other units to show you![/p][p]Do you prefer me to post twice a week (Monday and Thursday) or three times a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday)?[/p][p][/p][p]If you have any questions, leave them in the comments and I'll get back to you shortly, as always! [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
