MEET the "Pak 75"

[p]Hello soldiers![/p][p]Over the past few months, I've introduced you to many tanks, and although they're only a small fraction of the total, a legitimate question arises: how do we stop these walls of steel?[/p][p]One of the many answers is here: here's the "Pak 75"![/p][p][/p][p]This gun is the gaming version of the great German Pak 40, one of the best anti-tank guns of the entire WWII.[/p][p]Although there were several versions, the anti-tank version was by far the most used and the most feared. Thanks to the projectile's considerable muzzle velocity, its trajectory could be flatter, resulting in more accurate shots and greater penetration.[/p][p][/p][p]In the game, this gun will have the same characteristics as its real-life counterpart, obviously taking into account gameplay balance needs.[/p][p]First of all, it will be part of the "defenses," so it will be static and can only rotate, so be careful to position it correctly.[/p][p]Furthermore, I'd like to give it the ability to fire at least one other type of projectile, perhaps an HE shell with a certain amount of ammunition. What do you think?[/p][p][/p]
"Defenses"?
[p]For those who missed the previous post, I'll briefly explain what they are again.[/p][p]During battle, players will earn credits that can be spent on better weapons and vehicles. They can also purchase specialized defenses, which are therefore static and generally less expensive.[/p][p]What am I talking about? Well, barricades, barbed wire, anti-infantry, anti-tank, and anti-aircraft emplacements, artillery, perhaps small bunkers, mines, and more.[/p][p]Each player will have their own credits, but they will grow over time and by completing battle objectives.[/p][p]Defenses and vehicles can be used by every player and bot, while weapons are personal and disappear upon death.[/p][p]This system is designed to encourage players to stay alive and work together as a team.[/p][p]Do you like it?[/p][p][/p]
"Behemoth" idea.
[p]I was thinking of adding, like in BF1, much more powerful vehicles, both land, sea, and airborne. None of them would be real, because no real tool would be powerful enough to do what I have in mind.[/p][p]I would have liked the idea that players themselves could request it and choose it based on a small vote; the cost would be shared among all players.[/p][p]What do you think?[/p][p][/p][p]I have so many new ideas to add, but over time I've realized that players often don't want something new, just a redesign of what they already know.[/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

MEET the "Sturmhammer"!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]Today I bring you a legend of WWII, a vehicle that only appeared toward the end of the war and therefore had no significant impact on its course: introduce you to the "Sturmhammer"![/p][p][/p][p]The Sturmhammer is a very unique vehicle, difficult to classify as other vehicles.[/p][p]Some say it's a tank, some say it's an artillery piece, some say it's an infantry support vehicle... everyone's right and everyone's wrong.[/p][p]It was born from the need to provide infantry with armored support capable of destroying entire buildings with a single shot. An artillery salvo was perhaps more powerful, but less accurate, and slow to engage. A tank was perfect for breaking through enemy lines, but it was no match for infantry barricaded inside a six-story building. This is where the Sturmhammer comes in, a vehicle that, on command, was capable of destroying any enemy structure in a matter of minutes, while also withstanding direct fire thanks to its massive front armor.[/p][p][/p][p]Now let's get to the point: what will the Sturmhammer be like in the game?[/p][p]As always, I'll try to stay true to the vehicle's real role, but I won't mind deviating from reality if it detracts from the fun.[/p][p]In any case, the Sturmhammer will be a sort of very heavy tank, equipped with a rocket launcher (not a cannon!) capable of firing 400 kg of ammunition! It will also be equipped with a frontal, non-coaxial machine gun, designed for close-range defense.[/p][p]I think the shells will be exclusively high-explosive warheads, what do you think?[/p][p][/p][p]I'm not sure whether to entrust this vehicle to just one crew member or two; I'll tell you why. If it can only be operated by one member, he can't be both at the cannon and the machine gun, so the vehicle will be more defenseless. However, if I were to use two members, one would have the unfortunate task of covering his partner with only the machine gun, which might be a bit boring, although his role could be taken by a bot.[/p][p]What do you recommend?[/p][p][/p][p]Were you expecting this vehicle, or did you take it for granted?[/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

MEET the F/A-18 "Wingman"!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]Finally returning to the modern era, today I'm featuring one of my all-time favorite aircraft, the F/A-18 "Wingman"![/p][p][/p][p]This fighter-bomber is a multi-role aircraft, capable of hitting both air and ground targets in any mission.[/p][p]In real life, there are both single- and two-seater versions, but, if possible, in my game I'll always tend to use the two-seater versions, both because I'm passionate about emphasizing teamwork and because very few games (do you know which ones?) allow it.[/p][p][/p][p]The Wingman will have a wide variety of weapons at his disposal![/p][p]I'm still not sure what his final loadout will be, but both members will definitely be able to use at least one AA and one AG weapon.[/p][p]The pilot will likely be able to use short-range AA missiles and fire-and-forget AG missiles, while the gunner will be able to use medium-range AA missiles and TV-guided AG missiles or laser bombs.[/p][p][/p][p]What loadouts do you suggest?[/p][p]If necessary, I can make more than one version, but keep in mind that other multi-role aircraft will be included.[/p][p][/p][p]Also, I'd like to allow carrier launches for aircraft like this if the map allows it, perhaps giving it a catapult feel.[/p][p][/p][p]What do you think?[/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

MEET the "Sashka"!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]Today I'm offering you something I'm sure many will like: I present "Sashka", the most famous artillery rocket launcher in the world![/p][p][/p][p]Of course, Sashka is HWB's version of the real-life Katyusha.[/p][p]I was looking for a Russian female name that was similar and not too weak, but I'm no expert on Cyrillic names, so if you have other cool options, go for it![/p][p][/p][p]As mentioned, Sashka is an artillery vehicle capable of firing powerful rocket salvos at long range, with the goal of saturating a certain area of the battlefield.[/p][p]Unlike the MLRS, this vehicle has no accuracy and its ammunition is unguided, so forget about hitting a single enemy with the first shot![/p][p]Firing a salvo of fewer than six rockets simply means losing ammo: this is a Soviet vehicle, so whatever it touches must be destroyed!!![/p][p][/p][p]Although vehicles with even more rockets will be available (this game is going to be pure madness!), the Sashka will be able to launch up to 16 rockets per salvo.[/p][p]The launch range won't be very great, as this is an entry-level rocket artillery.[/p][p]For now, the ammunition will only be high-explosive. I'd like to add the incendiary version, but I fear a performance drop if used in conjunction with the usual vehicle.[/p][p]In any case, don't worry; more modern vehicles with a lower rate of fire will be able to use many more types of warheads on their missiles.[/p][p][/p][p]Question: How would you use a vehicle like this? Do you prefer traditional artillery? Do you prefer tanks?[/p][p][/p][p]If you have any questions about the game, please don't be afraid to ask![/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

MEET the "Flak raft"!

[p]Hello, soldiers![/p][p]Today I'm featuring a very little-known "vessel" from WWII: the "Flak Raft"![/p][p]This wasn't a ship; it was a sort of floating object packed with anti-aircraft weapons, suitable for defense in places where a real ship wasn't wanted.[/p][p][/p][p]Why did I include it in the game?[/p][p]Simple! Because it's strange and little-known, and I like atypical military vehicles![/p][p]In reality, it was a very slow vessel; in the game, it will be the same, but the armament will be modified so as not to render it useless outside of anti-aircraft combat.[/p][p][/p][p]What weapons will the Flak Raft have?[/p][p]It will have two quadruple 12.7 mm machine guns, with the ability to rotate downward to attack even water targets.[/p][p]There will also be two 88 mm anti-aircraft guns at the rear, equipped with proximity-fed ammunition, making them excellent for dealing aerial damage to swarms of flying enemies.[/p][p]Finally, there will be two more 88 mm forward guns, but this time with traditional ammunition, allowing the Flak Raft to counter naval enemies larger than a simple inflatable boat![/p][p][/p][p]I was thinking of removing the ballistic protection from the rear guns, so as to immediately indicate that they are intended for anti-aircraft use. What do you think?[/p][p][/p][p]The question is: how many crew members should we include?[/p][p]Given the symmetry of the armament, I'd consider two crew members, so everyone can use the weapon they want. What do you think?[/p][p][/p][p]Do you like this "ship"? How do you plan to use it in the game?[/p][p][/p][p]IMPORTANT: Using Unity 6, I had to, for various reasons, switch from built-in to URP (graphics stuff).[/p][p]This means the game should have slightly higher graphical quality, probably including better optimization of the graphics management. Unfortunately, due to compatibility issues, I have to redo some things from scratch, such as all the particle effects, which results in an uncalculated delay in development time... I assure you, it's more disappointing than it is for you! :D[/p][p][/p][p]See you at the next MEET, my friends![/p][p][/p]
THE ONLY GOOD BUG IS A DEAD BUG!
[p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
