📘 New Player Tips – A Letter from the Dev Team
We’ve prepared a New Player Guide to help you get started with the gameplay mechanics and enjoy the strategic depth of the game!
1. Survival first. Choose your battles wisely.
- Not all higher-star quests are better.
- Evaluate your party’s strength and choose quests accordingly.
- Attempting high-difficulty missions too early may result in injuries, broken gear, or an unrecoverable spiral toward defeat.
- Always equip characters with appropriate weapons for their troop type (short/long weapons) to ensure accuracy.
- Pay attention to stamina: if it’s [below 50], avoid equipping heavy gear.
- Pro Tip: Stick to one weapon early on. Once you're familiar with the system, consider dual-wielding.
- After reaching Prestige Level 3. quickly join a noble clan for access to powerful units and supplies.
- You can also rent elite officers before you earn enough merit.
We don’t recommend relying solely on these as your main income sources.
- These were fallback mechanics during past testing phases.
- In the full game, they are supplementary and situational – do them if they're along your route or fill a gap in your strategy.
- Example: If you're aiming to recruit Zhang Fei, align with the Lu Clan in Zhuo Commandery and complete clan quests. While doing this, feel free to trade or explore any nearby tombs.
- Early on, focus on “Procurement” and “Diplomacy” type missions.
- You can change quest types via the [“Consult”] function and refresh available tasks.
You can find recruitable historical officers by gathering intel in taverns. Here are a few examples:
- Pang De – Dai Commandery
- Cao Chun and Cao Ren – Qiao Commandery
- Ju Shou – Julu (strong military strategist)
- Li Ru – Jinyang (strong military strategist)
- Zhang Xiu – Shangdang (Prestige 3 required)
- Zhang Xun – Yecheng (Prestige 3)
- Yan Liang – Henei (Prestige 4)
- Jia Xu – Yangyi (Prestige 4)
- Yue Jin – Baima (Prestige 4)
Many more elite officers await your discovery!
8. Additional Tips
