Open Beta Announcement: “Multi-Character Mode (β)”

[/p][p]To coincide with the release of the Kagamine Rin DLC and Kagamine Len DLC, we are launching an Open Beta for a feature many of you have requested: the ability to have multiple favorite characters appear on your desktop. This will be available as “Multi-Character Mode (β)”.[/p][p]We originally planned to implement this as an official feature alongside both DLC releases. However, in order to review several parts of the implementation and further improve quality, we have decided to provide it first as a beta.[/p][p]We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.[/p][p]Please also note that “Combo Action”—a highlight feature for both characters—will be available within this Open Beta until it is officially released in the standard version.[/p][p]This Open Beta is planned to be available for a limited time, and once stability is confirmed, we will implement it as an official release in the standard version.[/p][p]

- [p]In the Steam client, go to "Desktop Mate > Properties > Game Versions & Betas"[/p]
- [p]Select "multi_character" in the "Selected Game Version" field.[/p]
- [p]The Desktop Mate Open Beta will automatically download. Once complete, click the "Play" button.[/p]
- [p]While participating in the Open Beta, you cannot launch the standard version. To return to the standard version, change the game version in Step 2 to "Default public version".[/p]
- [p]The Open Beta is available for a limited time. After official release, the "multi_character" option will be removed and the standard version will be automatically reinstalled.[/p]
- [p]Whether in the Open Beta or standard version, all purchased characters can be used the same way.[/p]
- [p]While participating in the Open Beta, a maximum of 2 characters can be shown on screen at once. We intend to expand this limit in the full version.
