Effulgence RPG News

The game has reached 20k+ wishlists!

It’s been a few months since I started developing the game. I’m doing my best to make it better and better. I’ll do my best to launch the playtest this month. Thank you all!

Battle on the Sea of Electrolysis
Once, a massive aluminum plant stood on its shores. Now, only the sea’s name recalls the industrial boom of the past. And, of course, the corrosive and nasty bubbles that still lurk here.
I’ve created a battle in the game’s very first location. Despite being turn-based, you can time your shots for better accuracy. A little real-time twist.

A planet with locations for the demo version. Playtesting begins in February!
Only fragments of a signal in the form of text symbols convey the tragic events from the distant space colony “Last Hope.” I've created a planet with locations for the demo version.
Non-combat Locations + Gamepad Support
Created a few non-combat locations.

1. Smugglers' Glade in Effulgence. Here, you can buy essentials and pick up quests in any of the four huts. Does it seem appealing?

2. The Chill and Skill. Staying there slowly restores HP. Check into the hotel for an instant 100% HP recovery. All objects in the game are fragile shells barely containing the chaos of text symbols, so full recovery means breakdown & reassembly.
[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
3. Testing gamepad support (+Steam Deck) for the items printing screen in my game Effulgence. To print an item, you need its schematic and enough resources. Some item schematics have duplication protection - only one copy can be printed. However, there are places where this protection can be hacked.

Thanks!
Inventory screen

Created an inventory screen for my RPG game Effulgence, made entirely of text symbols. Items are printed on a printer using resources, as are mechanisms and pets. There are three types of currency, and even characters themselves can be printed. I'm considering making it possible to print the printer itself.

Each character has several experience counters. For example, throwing grenades increases throwing experience. Once it reaches certain thresholds, you can upgrade throwing skills (at special locations), improving accuracy.
Happy New Year, by the way! Got a bit too caught up in work.
