We want to invite you to venture into the dark and terrifying world of the Backrooms Level X with the launch of a thrilling free PC demo. Backrooms Level X is a first-person narrative survival horror game that immerses you in an endless labyrinth of desolate and liminal spaces. Navigate through dark, atmospheric levels where terrifying entities lurk in the shadows, and challenging puzzles stand between freedom or your untimely demise.

Available to download from Steam now, this specially created prologue demo transports you to a few years before the strange incident of the main game in 1986. Navigate the endless labyrinth of the Backrooms, solving puzzles that might assist you in your quest to escape. But beware, as a special guest awaits you in the shadows. Friend or foe? Only time will tell as you unlock the mysteries lurking around every corner and strive to survive the mysterious liminal space.

We’re excited to announce that NPC character upgrades are currently in development for Backrooms Level X! Soon, the non-playable characters in the game will receive a new art style that will make them even more attractive. These improvements are designed to enhance the gameplay experience, making your encounters with NPCs more intense and engaging.
