[p]On October 13th, As Long As You're Here was shortlisted for SXSW Sydney's prestigious Game of the Year award. The game was nominated alongside Beethoven & Dinosaur's game Mixtape, Greenheart Games' Tavern Keeper, Aether & Iron's Chaos Theory & Seismic Squirrel, and Gambonanza's Blukulélé.
[/p][p]The Autoscopia team is thrilled to have been nominated for such a high-profile award. As a small group of game developers launching their breakout title, this is so much more attention than we hoped to have. We extend our sincerest thanks to the SXSW organizing committee for nominating our game, and our heartfelt congratulations to the other nominees.[/p][p][/p][p]We also want to congratulate the Mixtape team over at Beethoven & Dinosaur for winning the Game of the Year title. We wish all of the other nominees the best of luck with their launches, and hope to attend other festivals in the coming year.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]

[h2]We're so happy to announce that our game has been selected for the annual SXSW Sydney showcase on October 13-19![/h2][p][/p][p]It's always exciting to be selected, and to get a chance to see the public respond to our little baby. Working on a game for years in a vacuum can be hard, and you wonder if others will see what we see. So this outside validation means a lot to us game developers! It also means we get to add these beautiful little laurels. 🥰

Play as Annie and explore beautiful and eerie situations, as her daily life gets gradually more impacted by her Alzheimer's diagnosis.

As she unpacks her life, memories of her deceased brother and homes from her past bleed into the present. As a player, you will share in Annie's failing faculties and won't be able to trust your surroundings, or memory.

The game is a short and emotional family drama with a dash of magic realism, inspired by our personal stories. 🫂✨
