Playtest Guide
[p]This playtest is only a small section of the world and game, not the full experience. Many systems and visuals are unfinished or unpolished. This is the opportunity for us to collect feedback, identify server limits and find more bugs.[/p][p]The playtest is during the festive period. Helrift is a solo-developer project, managed around a full-time job and family commitments.[/p][p]Vamp will work to resolve bugs and issues as quickly as possible, but please understand that even major or game-breaking problems may not immediately receive full attention.[/p][p]The game will be updated with content and bug fixes frequently throughout the playtest.[/p][p]Thank you for your patience and support, we can’t wait to see you in-game![/p][hr][/hr][h3]Joining the playtest[/h3][p]Numbers may be restricted depending on server load and map population as we stress-test capacity. If you cannot get in, please try another time. The server will be busy at launch, but the playtest is live for three weeks so we can welcome as many players as possible. [/p][h3]PvP content[/h3][p]To enable PvP on the Wayfarers' Rest map there are some minor differences compared to how PvP is played in the full game. Combat areas North of Wayfarers' bridge will be PvP-enabled, South of the bridge is a safe zone.[/p][p]During the final week of testing everyone will receive a stats and armour upgrade.[/p][h3]Playtest is only on Steam[/h3]

- [p]A feedback questionnaire will be shared but we also have a feedback thread on Steam and in Discord[/p]
- [p]Be respectful to other playtesters and devs[/p]
- [p]Report issues constructively[/p]
- [p]Remember: this is a test! Bugs, crashes, and missing features are normal[/p]
- [p]Guilds can be created but have several bugs that limit their functionality; chat doesn't always work, disbanding the guild doesn't notify members[/p]
- [p]Archery trainer and quests missing (to be added during playtest) [/p]
- [p]Joining a Town / picking a side is not yet possible (to be added during playtest) but PvP is available in combat zones North of the bridge[/p]
- [p]Out of bounds colliders are incomplete[/p]
- [p]North of the bridge is PvP zone but visually unfinished, missing set dressing and has invisible walls to limit exploration. It will be expanded during the playtest.[/p]
- [p]Several POI's, NPC's and Quests are missing, more will be added during playtest[/p]
- [p]To learn a spell, scrolls must be obtained from the shop; this is not the intended method of learning spells[/p]
- [p]Some graphical issues with the mini-map[/p]
- [p]Wayfarers' Rest is the only available map region[/p]
