Ver.1.6.0 Patch Update Notice

We have now released the Version 1.6.0 update.
The main changes are as follows:

Update Details:
  • Added EASY and HARD modes to ASUKA Mode
HARD mode can only be selected by players who hold the ASUKA MASTER title.
Note: Players without the title can still load and practice using those replays.
  • New KONOHA (Easy) Category
※In Practice → Replay, all options except the Event Mode category have been removed.
  • Added KONOHA (Easy) Leaderboard
  • Marathon Mode Line-Clear Counter
※Marathon Mode now displays the number of lines cleared in its category.
Note: Pre-update replay data will show as “0.”
  • Guideline Revisions
Since these changes affect attack power in all versus modes, versus-mode replays recorded on versions earlier than 1.6.0 can no longer be viewed.
Marathon Mode scores will be affected, but existing replays will still play back (displayed scores may differ).
  • Overhauled Input Device Handling
    Only XInput devices are supported.
Up to 4 keyboards and 8 controllers can now be recognized.
Any connected device can be used for menu navigation during gameplay; the device used to start the game will be assigned to in-game controls.
  • Font Change for Medal Counts in Master Mode
  • Added Entries to Credit Roll #2
    Winners’ list for Event 2
Champion, runner-up, and third-place lists for CTWC 2025
  • VSYNC Indicator Update in Windowed/Borderless Fullscreen
VSYNC will display as “On” when the primary display’s refresh rate is a multiple of 60 Hz.
  • Exit Fix on Gamepad/Keyboard Settings Screen
You can now exit the settings menu even if some buttons remain unassigned.
  • Added Core-Dump Output Feature
A new “Advanced Settings” submenu has been added under Options.
You can configure crash-dump output (default: “None”).
    Dumps are written to:
     C:\Users\\AppData\Local\tgm4\dump
Files are named tgm4_YYYYMMDD_HHMMSS.dmp (approx. 150 MB, or up to 3 GB in full-size mode).

Bug Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue in ASUKA Mode replay playback where the fox animation would sometimes glitch.

Development Chat: Game Balance

This is just casual conversation?feel free to tune in or out as you like.

In the next update (Ver. 1.6.0), two new modes will be added to ASUKA: ASUKA EASY and ASUKA HARD. We’re rethinking the overall game balance relative to the other modes.

In particular, ASUKA EASY is “easier” than NORMAL in terms of difficulty (strictly speaking). But that raises questions: What then is the role of NORMAL? How should it compare to Marathon? These questions may require us to revisit balance across all modes.

We’re still exploring these ideas, so apologies for the uncertainty, but:

We may update NORMAL based on how ASUKA evolves.

We’re also considering adding new elements to Marathon.

To help us maintain development, we’d appreciate your support of our sales. Even sharing videos or screenshots on social media or video platforms goes a long way!

Development Chat: Stealth updates

This is just casual conversation?feel free to tune in or out as you like.

We’re currently verifying Version 1.6.0 and updating the changelog as we go. Some people asked about “stealth updates,” but these have existed in every version release to date.

Stealth updates generally occur in the following cases.
We hope you’ll understand
  • Minor code tweaks rather than feature changes
  • Vulnerability fixes
please accept these without further explanation
  • Updates we prefer to keep low-key
    no explanation?please don’t make a fuss! :)
