HitTube Dev Diary: Week 2

[p]Hi![/p][p]This week’s dev diary is the shortest one but it's quite important. Why?[/p][p][/p]
Because I got rid of hundreds of bugs and made the game twice as fast.
[p]
It's important for me to give the best game experience possible and I got rid off what most games suffer: bugs and lags, so this week was great for HitTube.[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]- Alexander[/p][p][/p]

HitTube Dev Diary: Week 1

[p]Hi![/p][p]I decided it would be a great idea to share with the community what has been added to the game each week. I’ll do this every Sunday and spotlight a few new features. I’ve added a lot of cool things, but I’ll only talk about a few of them.[/p]
Physics are fully finished
[p]Physics takes a big step forward for the game overall. You can even use physics in character customization, check it out![/p][p][/p][p]You can pick up dead bodies and do whatever you want with them (in this case, it’s the body of your co‑op friend). Move it, rotate it, jump with it. Hell, do whatever you like! Your friend is still useful even after death.
[/p][p]The best part of the physics is the destruction, which works well without any lag. That’s a great accomplishment for this week![/p][p] g[/p]
Optimization
[p]Although the game is an open‑world shooter roguelite, its size is currently 743.35 MB, which is incredibly small. Each week I do everything I can to make it smaller and faster. It may sound awesome, but from a developer’s perspective it’s incredibly boring XD
[/p]
Internet inside of the game has been changed
[p]There's special internet system inside of the game where you can see NPCs videos, news of what's going on and comments of NPCs. The design has been completely changed and it looks awesome now.[/p][p] I didn’t mention many of the changes, but there’s time for that in the next dev diary. Check out the new video that quickly shows what HitTube is all about!

[dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]Until next week, [/p][p]Alexander[/p]

What's going on with HitTube right now?
Welcome HitTubers!
[p]

By the way there's a pre-alpha trailer, check it out![dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]3.Active usage of social networks:[/p]
HitTube changed heavily in last months because of:
Q&A:
[p]Q: When Demo will be finished?[/p]
[p]A: The HitTube demo is most likely going to be released in March–April 2026. To see what will be added before March, check out the table below.[/p]
[p]Q: What engine HitTube is made with?[/p]
[p]A: HitTube is built on a heavily customized branch of Unreal Engine, so it’s not a typical Unreal Engine game. Many changes have been made inside the engine specifically for HitTube.[/p]
[p]Q: How often news updates are going to happen?[/p]
[p]A: At least once per week.[/p]
[p]Q: Why it can't be released right now?[/p]
[p]A: Because the game requires a lot of polishing and new more features.[/p]
Thank you so much for your attention!

Until the next update!
