Devlog #1 Building Something Special (With Your Help!)

Hey Collectors!

First off, thank you for all the messages asking, “How’s the game going?!” It means the world to our small team that you’re this excited about TCG Multiplayer Card Shop Simulator. Time for a update you.

Why We’re Skipping the Next Fest
We’ve decided to sit out the upcoming game fest. Why? We’re not here to rush. We’d rather spend these months making sure the game feels right instead of racing to meet a deadline. This means more time to listen to your feedback, tweak mechanics, and polish the chaos of running a card shop with friends.

The Road Ahead: Phases, Friends, & Fun

Here’s the plan to get this party started:

Closed Alpha Test (Late February 2025): For our most hardcore early supporters. Help us break things!

Closed Beta,Open Beta

Demo : Everyone’s invited to join us at June Next Fest!

Early Access Launch (June 2025): The shop’s (almost) open! We’ll keep refining based on your feedback.

Yes, it’s a lot of phases—but multiplayer games need love (and testing). A rushed launch would mean a messy shop, and nobody wants that.

Current Progress: The Good, The Ugly, and The Placeholder Cubes
Done ✅:

Multiplayer core: Player spawning, sync, resource management.

Shop management: Orders, loans, and the panic-inducing “management computer.”

Next Up 🛠️:

New gameplay modules (NPCs,Ordering etc).

Visuals 🎨: Our 3D models (shops, characters, cards) are ready to go—they’re just waiting to be plugged into the game! Devs are working on bringing them to life, so stay tuned for sneak peeks in Devlog #2.

Modding Support 🔧: We’re not putting up walls! Since this isn’t competitive, we’re keeping the doors wide open for mods—custom cards, shop designs, rule tweaks, you name it. We won’t lock things down, so modders can tinker freely (just like your favorite games!). Share your creations with the community!

Why Multiplayer = “Wait, Why Is My Friend Floating?!”
Let’s be honest: multiplayer games are hard. Testing takes much more longer because every bug has to be squashed across different connections and “Wait, did YOU just crash the economy?!” moments. But we’re committed to making the shop-running chaos feel smooth, fun, and reliably chaotic.

We Need YOU!

Join Our Discord: This is where we’ll share beta sign-ups, scream about breakthroughs, and beg for your ideas. You can find discord link down below.

Spread the Word: The more testers, the merrier (and the fewer disasters at launch).

Tell Us Everything: What’s your dream feature for a card shop sim? NPC baristas? A black market for rare cards? We’re listening.

Thanks for being part of this journey. We’re a tiny team, but your excitement keeps our coffee mugs full and our keyboards clacking. Next time, we’ll have fewer programmer-art cubes and more actual art. Promise.

Until then, keep those decks shuffled!
