7-Ply Maple Harvest Event

[p][/p][p]With autumn in full swing, it’s time for San Vansterdam’s 7-Ply Maple Harvest Event.
[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]

Welcome to the 7-Ply Maple Harvest Event, running from Nov 18 - Dec 2 in San Van. Of our two Season 1 events, the 7-Ply Maple Harvest Event is a little shorter, but we can’t miss celebrating one of the historic events in San Van that showcases our love for San Van Maple—what we believe to be the best wood for building a skateboard. The Harvest got its start in the early 20th century, but it wasn’t until the 1970s that skaters discovered the perfect window for harvesting San Van Maple - every seven years. Sorta fits with the perfect amount of layers to make a skateboard.

To celebrate the San Van Maple, we’re updating the Gullcrest Village Community Park with 3 new setups for you to hang out and throw down in. Be sure to check back regularly for new variations of the park. [/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]With the kickoff of the 7-Ply Maple Harvest Event, you’ll get new Weekly Tasks to complete and earn Wooden Nickels, the 7-Ply Maple Harvest currency. Not only will you be able to log in daily to get a free stash of Wooden Nickels, but the first time you log in you’ll get the commemorative 2025 Harvest Tee.[/p][p]Because it's a shorter event, there's no Challenges for 7-Ply. Keep up with your Weekly Tasks, grab your daily Wooden Nickels, and don't forget to knock out the last bit of your Seasonal Tasks![/p][p]

[/p][p]We’ve heard your feedback on the event economy from Skate-o-Ween, and are working on it. The 7-Ply event economy did receive some tuning/balance work, with more coming in S2, so it may lead to a surplus of event currency by the time the event ends (depending on how many Tasks you complete). We’re looking to fix this for the events in Season 2.

[/p][p][/p][p]Get in, get your Nickels, get some 7-Ply Maple Harvest merch, and get ready for Season 2. [/p][p]

[/p][p]See you in San Vansterdam,[/p][p][/p][p]The skate. Team[/p][p]

Dev Update 2025

[p]Hey everyone - it’s the skate. dev team checking in directly. [/p][p]Time has been flying since launching into Early Access. Watching tens of millions of you drop into San Van is truly humbling. We’ve been blown away by your support, feedback and passion.[/p][p]From all of us at Full Circle, thank you.[/p][p]We’re also here for the tough love. Things have not gone as smoothly for some of you as we would have liked. A lot more (we’re talking millions) players joined us in these first few weeks than we expected - and with that came bugs, glitches, progression locks, and performance issues. We’ll get into the why and what we’re doing about it, but first, we want to show our appreciation to all of you for sticking with us.[/p]
A Gift, For You (Yes, All of You)
[p]We’ll be giving everyone in the game 2000 Tix and 500 SVBs to use as you wish. All you need to do is log in and claim your gift between now (Nov 10, 2025) and the start of Season 2 on December 2, 2025 at 9am PT. Make sure to use your Tix in the skate.Pass before the end of Season 1, and make sure to check out the Tix section update below.[/p]
Addressing Your Feedback
[p]Let’s get into a few of the main concerns you’ve shared with us. [/p][p]Making skate. is a balancing act between delivering the fresh content from our roadmap, improving the overall player experience, and addressing your live feedback. We’re tweaking and fixing the game - some of it on the fly, and some of it as part of longer-term improvements. But, things will continue to change and improve. We all want skate. to be great, and working with you, our community, to fine-tune the player experience during Early Access is the way we get there. [/p]
Softlock and Progression Issues
[p]We’ve identified several spots where you’re experiencing softlock and progression issues. We know some players are still affected. Unfortunately, each of these issues is unique and requires a different solution. Here’s how we’re handling these:[/p]
 • [p]First, we identify the issue and all impacted players.[/p]
 • [p]Next, we run batch fixes to get players unstuck.[/p]
 • [p]Then, we develop long-term fixes to make sure future content (and players) won’t be impacted by the same issues. [/p]
[p]These are top priority for our team, and we will keep you updated on our progress.[/p]
Tasks
[p]On October 21, 2025, we pushed an update to resolve system overload and errors when our daily tasks reset.[/p][p]You should see fewer errors now, but there still may be a few slip ups. For example, our Trick of the Day - Spread Eagle task wasn’t working. Thanks to your quick flags, we got it up and running within a few hours. We can’t promise every fix will be that quick. As your reports come in, our team is reviewing them and working to make things right ASAP. [/p]
Cosmetic Items and skate.Pass Progression
[p]We’re still tuning progression and rewards until they feel just right. That will mean different things to different players - new players, experienced players, casual players, and to those who skate all day. Rip Chips, Tix, and Rep are part of that tuning and it’s all a delicate balance. We appreciate your patience as we dial this in to make our in-game economy and reward system fun, fair, and sustainable. [/p][p]Changes are coming starting with Season 2: [/p]
 • [p]Premium item value: We want you to feel good about what you’re spending your SVB on. So we're working to make Premium items feel even more unique and valuable, and we’ll continue to make adjustments as needed.[/p]
 • [p]skate.Pass tiers: We're tweaking skate.Pass so it will be less of a grind to complete. You’ll also see more tiers going forward - all future Seasons will have around 90 tiers.[/p]
 • [p]Earning more SVB through skate.Pass: We’re increasing the amount of SVBs granted through the combined Standard and Premium tracks of the skate.Pass to 500 SVB.[/p]
 • [p]More branded and licensed items in skate.Pass: We’re actively working with our partners to include more branded items in future seasons. While they won’t arrive in time for Season 2, you’ll see an update as soon as we have new items to report.[/p]
 • [p]Event currency surplus: Having a surplus of event currency after Skate-o-Ween has been an issue, so, we’re tuning our event economy. You’ll see changes starting with the 7-Ply Maple Harvest event later this month.[/p]
Tix Rollover
[p]Our intention with Season 1 was to make sure players could get enough Tix through Seasonal Tasks and Challenges to complete the skate.Pass. Well, we went a bit overboard - we’re seeing that some players are still overflowing with Tix, even after unlocking all the goods they want.[/p][p]If you purchased Tix with SVB, any leftover Tix you purchased will roll over at the end of the season. If you didn’t purchase Tix with SVB, you’ll get a portion of those rolled over to the next season. That being said, use your Tix in the skate.Pass to avoid losing some when the season rolls over. Let us know how this feels through Early Access and we’ll continue to improve the way we roll over Tix from season to season. [/p][p]We’re truly grateful for your patience as we improve, grow, and evolve skate. during Early Access. We wouldn’t be here without you, the incredible skate. community, so keep sharing your feedback, your bugs, and issues. We’re on the case and we’ll only get better from here.[/p][p]From all of us,[/p][p]The Full Circle dev team[/p]

The Weekly Grind - Nov 4, 2025

[p]Welcome back to The Weekly Grind.

Let’s get to it![/p][p]
What’s going on?
[/p][p]It’s the final week of Skate-o-Ween and we’re 2 weeks away from the 7-Ply Maple Harvest Event. (We’ve got a mini-blog coming up before the event to give you the deets on what’s happening in San Van for the event, so hang loose.) We’ve also got “the best free gift in the Citadel” coming this Friday.

With Daylight Saving Time ending for San Vansterdam on Nov 3, you may have noticed the daily resets happening an hour earlier. Our systems like Daily Resets go off the UTC timezone (it’s called universal for a reason), so the time really didn’t change on the back-end, but for our players who just experienced “Fall Back”, those resets are an hour earlier (9AM PT/ 1700 UTC). [/p][p]Nov 4, 2025 we pushed out a hotfix to address crashing issues on console where the resume feature would cause the game to crash.[/p][p]
What we’ve heard

Season 1 and our first Seasonal event received a lot of feedback that the team has taken on, from accrual rates of seasonal and event currency to items that can be obtained by spending that currency. The team is working to improve the tuning of the seasonal and event currency, as well as improve the offerings in the seasonal and event rewards. Additionally, we’ve heard feedback regarding the community parks updates for events.

We’ve heard your feedback on Season 1 and the first seasonal event, and some changes we’re bringing to Season 2 are:[/p]
 • [p]As noted in our Season 1 blog, the first Season in skate. was always planned to be a little shorter, but all future Seasons will have around 100 tiers in the skate.Pass.[/p]
 • [p]Through Skate-o-Ween, we learned that the Event economy is not properly balanced and leads to a surplus of event currency that you can't spend. We’re making changes for the 7-Ply event later this month as a result and we’ll continue to evaluate to see if we need to make further adjustments to future events.[/p]
[p]We’ve got more info coming through a Dev Blog from the team at Full Circle. [/p][p]
REMINDER: Free Gift
[/p][p]On Oct 31,  2025,  we dropped the Lightrunner set for everyone. All you have to do is log in to get the set (before Dec 2, 2025).
[/p][p][/p][p]Softlocks/Stuck Progression- ONGOING
The work continues. The team is making progress on the various softlock issues, and we know we’re not done yet. [/p][p]We appreciate your dedication and sticking with us in Early Access as we work through these issues. Make sure to check our official skate_status account on X to keep up-to-date with news and info as it comes out. [/p][p]
Keep that content coming! [/p][p]The skate-tshirt-contest has ended, and we’re going through the submissions and will be reaching out to potential finalists, then will work with the dev team to get the winners and start getting those designs in-game.

As usual, we wanted to share a few pieces of content that caught our eye. Remember: if you want to possibly be featured in The Weekly Grind, make sure to share yours (screenshots, videos, clips) via skate.reel. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Waitin’ on a Furt by the Foot to recharge before hitting another session, Credit: House[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Sometimes you just need to take a break and chill with a pal, Credit: jezzamousey[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]When Follow-the-Leader goes wrong, Credit: Patchwork Practicioner
