Dev Note #4 — HOLLOW MIRE: Shadow of Breken House
We’ve made an important change: the game now carries its full title — HOLLOW MIRE: Shadow of Breken House.
[p]Breken House isn’t just a location in the story, it’s its own character and that's now reflected in the Game's title. HOLLOW MIRE - Shadow of Breken House

The word “Breken” comes from an old English term for something fractured or broken, and that meaning runs through its history. More about the house, and the role it plays, will be revealed in time.

Welcome home to Breken House... [/p]

Letters from the front

[p]Hi everyone,[/p][p]We wanted to share a couple of new screenshots from Hollow Mire.[/p][p]The first is from a flashback sequence near the end of the war, a wide summer vista, WWII trucks moving in convoy, and John in the back, writing a letter to Eve. It’s one of those moments where hope and unease live side by side.

The second takes us back to Breken House, with a glimpse of the 2nd floor and part of the ground floor. A grandfather clock ticks as the lights flicker. Listen closely, and you may hear whispers drifting through this hall.
[/p][p]Thanks as always for following along, and we’ll have more to share soon.

The Asylum Holds Its Secrets
Gwen’s Investigation at Bordon Downs Asylum
[p][/p][p]We’ve just uploaded two new screenshots from Hollow Mire, a glimpse into Gwen Porter’s path through the asylum.[/p][p]In the first, Gwen finds herself at Bordon Downs Asylum for the Insane. Against the backdrop of screams echoing down the corridors, she examines a murder scene, forced to piece together what happened in a place where truth and delusion intertwine.[/p][p]

[/p][p]The second screenshot drags us below, into the dark, damp basement of the asylum. Among the dripping pipes and scattered debris, Gwen hunts for clues that may reveal where a missing patient has gone… though every step deeper feels like it leads further away from safety.[/p][p]

[/p][p]These scenes show just one thread of Hollow Mire’s dual narrative, where the search for answers demands walking into places that resist being understood.[/p][p]We’ll be sharing more of Gwen’s journey soon. For now, take a closer look at these screenshots and let us know your thoughts in the comments.[/p][p]– The Hollow Mire Team[/p]
