[p]Chefs! “The experience so far is the kind of wholesome, lighthearted experience that truly provides a world worth digging into, and hopefully the full game will be just as much of a hearty meal as it has the chance to be." That’s straight from MSN’s mouth![/p][p] [/p][p]Say “Yes, chef!” to adding KuloNiku: Bowl Up! to your wishlist today so you know the second our game is ready to download![/p][p] [/p][p]See you on April 7th![/p][p] [/p][p] [/p]

All About Reputation
Reputation is everything in KuloNiku. It determines not only your quality as a chef, but also the viability of your establishment and the friendships you make. On top of that, progressing far enough allows you to take on the next Meatball Brawl challenge!
[p]
[/p][p][/p][p]The reputation meter can be seen at the top left of the screen and incrementally goes up every time you successfully fulfill a customer’s order. By nailing each of their requests and leaving their stomachs satisfied, you’ll not only get a nice tip but see the bar go further into the green.[/p][p][/p][p]If you miss an ingredient, add something you shouldn’t have, or you take too long to serve up your bowl of wonders, it puts a little dent in your reputation and sees your progress stall. If only temporarily, though.[/p][p][/p][p]However, if you have a full reputation whenever you’re serving up the dish of your customer’s dreams, they’ll add a little something extra to their tip, boosting the money you can make from each order. How generous![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Once your reputation bar is full, you can then take on the next Meatball Brawl challenge and try to increase your standing on the town’s leaderboard. Which, in turn, will unlock a whole range of new possibilities such as new items at Ume’s Shop, new characters to meet, places to visit, and even relationship levels to work at. [/p][p][/p][p]Reputation really does connect everything together in KuloNiku. Throughout the game, there are goals and accomplishments you need to achieve in order to unlock new items and equipment in the game to bolster your reputation even further.[/p][p][/p][p]Don’t panic, though! You can keep track of how you’re doing by looking at the journal in-between shifts. It shows your active goals, in-game statistics, as well as what relationship level you’re at with each character, the reputation level you’re currently on and how far you are from the next.[/p][p]

All About Rivals

[p]While KuloNiku is a great place to make wonderful friendships, not everyone is quite so willing to pat you on the back or shake your hand. [/p][p][/p][p]For every good friend, there’s a competitive rival waiting just around the corner, so it’ll be up to you to earn their respect through a shared love of cooking![/p][p]
[/p][p]At the start of KuloNiku, you’ll be introduced to the ‘Souper Starz’, a rival band of cooks who believe their Bakso is the best in town. Led by the rockstar chef herself, Stella, you’ll start by trading some barbs back and forth, with Stella underestimating your abilities as a chef, frustrated by your family history, and subtle hints to her connection to your grandma.
[/p][p]With tensions high, before long, you’ll both find yourselves live on Nani TV, settling your differences in a Meatball Brawl to see who is the real top chef![/p][p][/p][p]Beating Stella is just the beginning, though, and starts a leaderboard ranking system for the whole town. Before long, Stella’s biggest fan, Shuga, is desperate to avenge her embarrassment and show you his skills. [/p][p][/p][p]Over time, you’ll find yourself competing with a whole host of rivals to see who is the best local chef in KuloNiku! [/p][p]
[/p][p]But when the dust settles and the smoke clears, maybe you and your rival will be able to find some common ground, squash a grudge and turn it into a bond.[/p][p][/p][p]Over the course of the story, you’ll meet many others who are eager for the top spot and all the glory that it offers, but can also become a good friend and acquaintance if you take the time to hang out while you grow your reputation.[/p][p]
[/p][p]Will you prove your doubters wrong and be the talk of the town? [/p][p][/p]
Wishlist KuloNiku and try the demo today to see if you’ve got what it takes!
[p]

All About Festivals
Good day, Chefs!

[p]KuloNiku isn’t just a good place to get food; it’s also a town full of fun and festivities... Which is the topic of today’s post![/p][p] [/p][p]As the days tick down in the game, you’ll get the opportunity to take part in limited-time festivals.
[/p][p][/p][p]These optional events crop up from week to week and have their own special theme. For example, the Rainy Day Festival asks that any dishes you make be extra spicy to chill cold bones. And if it’s a dish that’s already hot, then it’s clearly not hot enough! So, don’t skimp on those chilli peppers![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Once opted into a Festival, you’ll see a bar at the top of the screen with several milestones that, once hit, net you bonus prizes. This could be anything from more cash for your back pocket to an increase in your reputation![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The biggest incentive in signing up to Festivals is earning vouchers that can be redeemed for unique, exclusive items in the decoration menu. Alongside Meatball Brawls, this is the only way to claim vouchers in the game, and the only way to unlock everything in KuloNiku so you can get the coolest, freshest styles for your eatery![/p][p][/p][p]Festivals aren’t mandatory, though, so if you’re focused on finishing the campaign and making the best Bakso in town, you can skip them as you see fit. But they can nicely mix things up and give you a little something extra to work towards, adding unexpected challenges and opportunities as you play.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Ready for anything? KuloNiku: Bowl Up! is coming to Steam very soon. Wishlist and check out the demo now.
[p]

All About Decorations
Good day, Chefs! Today, we’re talking about decorating and how to give your restaurant some extra style!
[p][/p][p]In our last post, we told you about Ume’s Shop and how you can buy paintings and televisions to spruce up your restaurant. But that’s just the start![/p][p][/p][p]When you’re not serving meatballs and noodles, during your downtime, you can also decorate the interior of your restaurant![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Everything from repainting the walls to relaying the floor, and even adjusting the order of your cooking stations. Simply click the area you want to tweak, and you’ll be able to buy new design elements. You can even resurface your countertop![/p][p][/p][p]While some things can be paid for with cold, hard cash, others can only be acquired with vouchers earned from successfully winning Meatball Brawls or by taking part in optional Festivals, which we’ll deep dive into in a future Blog Post![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Once you’re happy with your new design, accept the changes, and it’ll automatically update the interior of your restaurant, ready for your next batch of customers.[/p][p][/p][p]Don’t worry, you’ll get a visual representation of how everything looks before committing. Here are a few different decoration sets you can find in the game to whet your appetite for the possibilities…[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Like what you see?
