Wendigo Blue Update Version 0,05

This update contains the new "Hrukk Gardens" stage, a new boss battle, and many changes and bug fixes. As always, thank you to everyone for the feedback and bug reports. There will be some additional hotfixes and some more QOL updates in the next couple of weeks. Some of the content for Act Two will also hopefully start to show up in the coming updates as well. I'm leaning towards focusing on one of the new playable characters that become available in Act Two, but I haven't decided on which one to do first. I may reach out to the community to help me decide.

New
  • New center path stage 5, Hrukk Gardens, has been added.
  • New boss, Feral Heirophant, added to the gardens stage.
  • New enemy type, Feral Hermit.


Changes
  • Removed guard break from cultist executioner's special attack.
  • Cultist executioner's aggressive behavior increased slightly.
  • The initial hit of Blue's charged aerial cleave now also deals ice damage.
  • The initial spin of Blue's charged weapon counter now also deals ice damage.
  • Thorn Bracer mythic ability removes the mana cost of escape guard.
  • Thorn bracer base ability now triggers on perfect guard.
  • Armor-type shield hit FX now has distinct Icons.
  • Feral reaper defensive behaviors changed to be more consistent.
  • Playing solo now has a 4 second window to spend Valdinium to revive.
  • Events triggered by dead enemies also count frozen/shattered enemies.
  • Library has been separated from the collection into its own menu.
  • The attack frequency of Mara'Lenna's unique guard Reingen is increased.
  • Foreign amulet second trait changed from -2 magic damage to +2 res.
  • Enemy damage type resist standardized into 2 tiers. Normal 50%, and high 90%.
  • Weak gray hitspark and sound added for "resisted" damage types.
  • Unlock trigger for counter and grappling skill boots containers reduced slightly.
  • Dropped weapons are re-equipped when changing rooms.
  • Magic damage reduction from affinity changed from -3 damage to -40/50/60% damage at levels 5/10/15, respectively.


Bug Fixes
  • Description for color unlocked by defeating mirror image shows difficulty setting.
  • Fixed issue were certain spells would make side path doors inoperable.(ongoing)
  • Fixed boss spawn bug in the Market stage and replaced boss with a new variant.
  • Fixed some targeting issues with Gilroy's Wingless Dragon skill D.
  • Fixed saved Vsync settings correctly applying on game launch.
  • Fixed crash that could occur when enemies with satellites or familiars are killed.
  • Fixed soul art trigger on mythic arbiter ring.
  • Autofix for older saves that had bugged quest progress for Loawnea.
  • Fixed bug that miscalculated hitstun while juggling targets.
  • Fixed stun affliction temporary invulnerability after high scaling combos.
  • Fixed crash that occurs when reflecting an attack from a target that has died.
  • Fixed bug causing First Aid items to apply healing multiple times for a single use.
  • Fixed pangen collection display for the 3rd variant.
  • Fixed evade enemy attacks skill trial progression.

Development update for Version 0.05

Just some quick news on the upcoming game update. The newest boss (Feral Hierophant) that I'm working on needs a little more time in the oven, so I'll be delaying the update by about a week or so.

The next update will contain the new gardens stage and boss, as well as a bunch of bug fixes and QOL changes, thanks to all of the feedback I get from you all. You can check in on development in the pinned thread Here that I try to check in and update weekly. Probably the biggest change is the ability to revive when playing solo with NPC turned off.

  • Autofix for older saves that had bugged quest progress for Loawnea.
  • Fixed bug that miscalculated hitstun while juggling targets.
  • Fixed stun affliction temporary invulnerability after high scaling combos.
  • Fixed crash that occurs when reflecting an attack from a target that has died.
  • Fixed bug causing First Aid items to apply healing multiple times for a single use.
  • Fixed pangen collection display for the 3rd variant.
  • Fixed evade enemy attacks skill trial progression.

Hotfix Update

Fixed bug that would interrupt the player when grabbing a dead enemy.

  • You can now press guard to release carried enemies and objects.
