Demo Update 1.0.0

  • I don't recall exactly how this build differs from the last one but I know some more bugs are ironed out and there's a bit more polish here and there.
  • Game is more or less ready to go for its 19 June release.
  • FYI game will have a fleshed-out story (much moreso than Genome Guardian's), you just don't see any of it in the demo.

  • Let me know if this patch broke everything or something - I tested it a bit and it seems fine though.
  • Listen to the in-game soundtrack in the new Jukebox menu (accessible from the Main Menu)!
  • Like 100+ new maps.
  • A whole lot of small gameplay QoL additions.
  • Tweaked beginner experience.
  • While not accessible in the demo, all 24 commanders are fully implemented and you can meet their unlock conditions now.
  • If you know the secret way to unlock the Jester turret in Genome Guardian, then you'll know how to unlock Joker.
  • Lots more work behind the scenes (including what will eventually be pristine, fluid controller support).
  • Like I've said in the past I don't really keep track of demo additions but there's a bunch of other stuff too I swear.
  • Oh and don't forget FULL RELEASE 19 JUNE 2025!

  • Intro fight (the very first one) would break if you clicked the "Do Nothing" button at any time that you weren't supposed to.
  • You could buy discounted items that you couldn't afford (and end up with negative ːbiomassː Biomass).
  • Rerolls would sometimes not really work if you had a bunch of items Banished.
  • No more "CLOAKED CELLS" warning after winning a mission.
  • No more "# CHARGES" text over your gadget when it shouldn't be there.
  • "Empty Tile -> Do Nothing" toggle in SETTINGS is now disabled during the intro fight (since it has to be).
  • Fixed bug involving ːcdnaːːgdnaːːtdnaːːtdnaː Cephalopox's second command which reduces a target's Poison.
  • Finishing a mission with a radioactive cell present would sometimes bug everything up.
  • Did some other stuff too but can't remember.
  • Oh and there's like +30 more maps.
  • Not sure if I mentioned before but Records (button on main menu) works as of recent.
