[p]Thank you for reading. We have been calmy adding small changes and effects. Here are the improvements/fixes for the update.[/p]
  • [p]Added text to each placeable bench to explain what should be put into it.[/p]
  • [p]Added a craftable fire pit. Cooks food and water faster.[/p]
  • [p]Added a bench opening effect.[/p]
  • [p]Added a player pickup and put down effect.[/p]
  • [p]Added lakes to maps instead of the water icon.[/p]
  • [p]Added a smoke effect on campfires.[/p]
  • [p]Added leaves flowing in the wind effect.[/p]
  • [p]Added the ability to hold items in your had a place 1 or all into chests and some benches.[/p]
  • [p]Added plant fiber drops when cutting down a tree.[/p]
  • [p]Added animal eating animations.[/p]
  • [p]Updated the bear and boar AI.[/p]
  • [p]Updated compost bin crafting recipe to require worms.[/p]
  • [p]Updated compost bin have a chance to drop worms along with soil drops.[/p]
  • [p]Updated rotten food to drop in the left corner for all placeable benches.[/p]
  • [p]Removed the ability to access inventory when sleeping.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where fish nets were not showing empty right after being emptied.[/p]

Minor Fixes

[p]A small patch to update a few bugs and tweaks.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the Small Green Rug was not able to be placed.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where animals were not reacting to being hit by arrows while walking.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where some animals were not fleeing from gunfire.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where steam screenshots where not able to be taken.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed lighting issues when in shelters and cabins.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the main menu music stopping after a long period of time.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where offscreen animals were leaving excessive blood trails.[/p]
  • [p]Lowered health increase when sleeping.[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted the shelter placing collisions to allow them to be placed over other items. This gives players additional freedom when placing rain covers.[/p]
  • [p]Spelling fixes.[/p]

Demo Updated!

We have updated our demo to get it ready for the Steam Next Fest starting February 24th. Here are all the amazing things we have added:

  • Time passes when sleeping
  • Food now expires into rotten food
  • Doubled a day's length
  • Limited stack sizes for most items
  • Nights are now very dark
  • Added a craftable headlamp
  • Added craftable torches that use charcoal as fuel
  • Can now craft and place doors
  • Added 4 additional hotbar options (total of 8)
  • Traps now allow all vegan items (for rabbits) and meat items (for boars)
  • Improved animal AI
  • Animals now sleep at night
  • Increased animal size and they can spawn in different sizes now
  • Added a furniture bench which allows crafting furniture items and walls
  • Added a compost bin that will create soil when perishable items are added to it
  • Added a drying rack that allows for drying food items and turns animal fur into leather over time
  • Add a chopping block that allows crafting firewood and wooden planks
  • Added a craftable water collector that collects water when it rains
  • Updated placeable items to only be destroyed if the player has bare hands and punches the item
  • Added berry bushes
  • Changed shovel tools to only allow placing a farm plot if you have soil
  • Updated the ammo bench recipe to require leather so that players cannot have guns as early in the game
  • The player and animals now takes damage from stepping in a fire
  • Can now catch both perch and salmon fish
  • The player must now find fish in the lake in order to fish
  • Added a craftable rake that allows for placing paths
  • Shelters now keep you warm
  • Added RNG chests
  • Added a control task for easy access of the current mapped controls
  • Added leaves falling when breaking plants and trees
  • Added a craftable watering can for farm plots
  • Added multiple new messages (bottom right) that appear when doing things in the game
  • Food plants now always drop a seed
