version v0.8.1264 (live)

v0.8.1264 has been put live on the main branch, here's a list of all the changes since the last version:

  • Added first version of model editor
  • Added steam workshop support
  • Fixed scrollbar
  • Fixed projectile max distance
  • Fixed root motion (bug caused by unity update)
  • Fixed particle effects (bug caused by unity update)
  • Fixed resolution settings (bug caused by unity update)
  • Fixed ground paint (was missing a lot of paint)
  • Fixed ambient light intensity (bug caused by unity update)
  • Fixed smoke-ring/puff showing up on main screen
  • Moved screenshot path to documents folder
  • Improved explosions
  • Improved particle effects (particle motion blur will get a separate setting later)
  • Performance fixes in particle engine
  • Performance fixes in fracture engine


The model editor currently has a lot of hotkeys which don't have a toolbar yet, you can get a quick overview of these when you press the "Quick Help" button inside the editor.

Version 0.8.1264 (patchtest beta branch)

Changes

The main branch will also be updated to 0.8.1264 on wednesday, which will make the editor and all the other changes since 0.8.1182 available on there as well.


How to enable the patchtest branch
  1. Go to Steam Library
  2. Right click on Critical Annihilation
  3. Click on Properties in the popup menu
  4. Click on the [Beta] tab in the screen that pops up
  5. It'll show a page with a dropdown to select a beta version, select "patchtest" (You can go back at any time by selecting "None" here)
  6. Close the window and it'll start applying the patch

Version 0.8.1264 (patchtest beta branch)

  • Added Quick Help screen to model editor


The main branch will also be updated to 0.8.1264 on wednesday, which will make the editor and all the other changes since 0.8.1182 available on there as well.

When you upload a package for the first the it will be marked as private in the workshop, you can mark it as public through the steam workshop page. Subscribed items will show up in the model package selection box.

There is still a minor bug which may cause subscribed items not showing up untill you restart. Should be fixed in the next update.
