Demo Update + Final Price

[p]Hey everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]Dominova launches in a week! After so many hours working on it I am really excited to present you the full game.[/p][p][/p][p]The discounted price of the game in the first 2 weeks of launch will be around $9.99. The full price will be $12.99. So if you want a cheaper game make sure you buy it fast when it releases. :)
[/p][p]The demo version is now a shorter sample of the full game. I am planning to keep this demo up after release.[/p][p][/p][p]That’s all, have a nice day! :)[/p]

Release date + Pricing Announcement

[p]Thanks to everyone who tried out the Dominova demo and / or wishlisted the game! It was great to see so many of you enjoy the demo![/p][p][/p][p]If you haven’t already, please drop a review on the demo page or fill in the feedback form, I always appreciate it when people let me know what they think. :)[/p][p][/p][p]https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd-MRGTASLC4lJG-CGJQOaDcPLUIWMu5odASr0kG5uzGJUfwA/viewform?usp=header[/p][p][/p][p]Dominova will release on November 19th, 18:00 CET. This is a full release, no early access. All systems are in place. Everything works as intended, small balancing issues aside. Dominova took me 11 months to make, which I think is a great development cycle for a strategy game. [/p][p][/p][p]Please do be aware I am a solo dev so on the super rare chance I missed something important, the release date might change. I really don’t think this will happen but you never know.[/p][p][/p][p]The pricing range will be between $9.99 and $14.99, which is a comfortable pricing spot for a roguelike deckbuilder. With the launch discount it will certainly be on the lower side of this range. Make sure you wishlist the game so you’ll get notified when the game releases.[/p][p][/p][p]Again thanks for your support and I hope you are looking forward to the release. :)[/p][p][/p][p]Also, the demo will probably stay playable even after release, though in a more compact shorter version.[/p]

New Music

[p]Hello everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]The music in Dominova has been replaced by a new soundtrack. This soundtrack is made by the same composer who worked on Gum Ball Run: HappyHappyCloudMusic[/p][p][/p][p]The new soundtrack is more dynamic, changing intensity when the player gets further in a run and in a level. each level type has its own theme.[/p][p][/p][p]Play the demo and tell me what you think. :)[/p][p][/p][p]Thanks for playing and have a nice day!

Steam Deck + Controller Support

[p]Hello everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]It was time to implement Steam Deck and controller support. It's not perfect, but it gets the job done. Now you can play Dominova while bedrotting.[/p][p][/p][p]Make sure you go to the Dominova settings > Properties > compatibility and enable Proton.[/p][p][/p][p]You can move the cursor with the control stick.
Select and place dominoes with the A button (south button).[/p][p]Rotate and remove dominoes with the B button (eastern button).[/p][p][/p][p]You can adjust the control stick sensitivity in the settings. No rebinding (yet, I don't know, it's kind of tricky to do with localization)[/p][p][/p][p]The game should be completely playable on Steam Deck. I also made some UI tweaks to make sure everything is readable.[/p][p][/p][p]If you play the game on Steam Deck I'd love to hear your feedback. I don't have a Steam Deck myself so it's hard to check if everything works as it should.[/p][p][/p][p]Thanks for playing and have a nice day!

Gameplay Update + Compendium

[p]Hello everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]The demo is now out for a couple of weeks and I received a lot of feedback. In general I think the game is a little too complex in the basic gameplay. Especially when it comes to domino placement and fitting them all on the board.[/p][p][/p][p]To fix this issue I tried a different approach where all dominoes can be connected, but if you connect same colored ones you get a base score bonus.[/p][p][/p][p]This will make it a lot easier to get around the board. You can focus more on Nova cards and getting all the upgrades.[/p][p][/p][p]To counter balance, the score goals have increased by a lot. You really need Nova cards to get far in a run. Also since it's easier to place dominoes, there are also more obstacles to deal with now.[/p][p][/p][p]There is also a compendium now that explains some basic stuff about the game. Settings and the nova card collection is placed in there too.[/p][p][/p][p]I also fixed the Wild Clone Nova card that was programmed incorrectly. And some other stuff.[/p][p] [/p][p]If you want to let me know what you think, please drop a review or start a discussion on the forum or contact me on discord. Or fill in the in-game feedback form.[/p][p][/p][p]Thanks for playing and have a nice day!
