[p]Hey everyone, [/p][p]We are opening a Public Test Branch (PTB) to share the content for the next update with you before the full release. This will help us spot major problems and start gathering early feedback! [/p][p] [/p]
Highlights 
  • [p]New battle mechanic > Encirclement. 
    When more than 3 units are next to an enemy unit, the enemy unit suffers from a defense malus. [/p]
  • [p]We rebalance and tweak all the units of the game. The idea is to make more distinguishable and powerful the path that requires a strategic resource. [/p]
  • [p]Doomwraiths balancing > We heard your feedback 😉 [/p]
  • [p]Improvements on AI related to military [/p]
  • [p]Lots of additional changes and fixes  [/p]
[p] [/p][p]For those who want to read the detailed patch notes, it's HERE! [/p][p] [/p][h2]How can I give feedback? [/h2][p]We need your feedback! The primary purpose of the Public Test Branch is to gather your feedback on new content, changes, and balancing tweaks we plan to implement in the game. [/p][p] [/p][p]Our main focus will be on the Encirclement rule and all the changes to units. [p][/p][p]Thank you for helping us make Endless Legend 2 the best it can be! [/p][p][/p][p]  [/p][h2]What is the Public Test Branch (PTB)? [/h2][p]Endless Legend 2 public test branch is a beta version that showcase the next update! [/p][p]Since this is a test environment, expect unfinished content and possible bugs. Also, as this is "Public" to all players, you are free to create content based on it. No NDA will be included. [/p][p] [/p][p]About Save Compatibilities [/p][p]The Public Test Branch uses the same place to store the save files, which implies 2 things: [/p]
  • [p]If you start a game on the PTB you won’t be able to continue the game in the “default” game. [/p]
  • [p]If you start a game on the PTB you will be able to keep that game once the update is released. [/p]
[p]Summary > You cannot use a save used on PTB on the default game. [/p][p]We strongly encourage you to start new games on the PTB as there have been a lot of changes on the balancing side. [/p][p] [/p][h2]Tutorial on how to access the PTB[/h2]
  1. [p]Open the Steam client. [/p]
  2. [p]Log in with the account that owns Endless Legend 2. [/p]
  3. [p]Go to your Steam Library. [/p]
  4. [p]Look for “Endless Legend 2”  [/p]
  5. [p]Right-click on your Library entry and go to Properties.  [/p]
  6. [p]Select Betas > and select “Public-Test-Branch" [/p]
  7. [p]Once you’ve clicked on this entry, the game will start the update.  
    If you want to go back to the base game, repeat the process but on the “betas” section select “None” [/p]
