It is now also possible to deactivate strategic bombing for units after is has been activated, including when those units have reached their destination.
  • (Strategic bombing) Removed bombing animation for bombers sent to regions with no income value - which means that there is nothing to bomb there

Battles
  • (Battle) Amphibious units are now allowed to attack without a leader and to join allied units that have already started a battle - same behaviour as paradrop units

*** FIXES ***

Windows and UI
  • (Main Menu) Fixed an UI issue happening when the PBEM saves folder contained subfolders that do not correspond to an actual game match
  • (Main Menu) Fixed localisation of local / PBEM saves tabs
  • (Summary window) Fixed a bug where the game would not go past the Summary phase, without displaying the summary window. This bug appeared in scenarios where one of the sides initially owns no region
  • (Summary window) Fixed a bug that caused this summary window to crash when a player does not own any region
  • (Information Window) Fixed incorrect information displayed for regions containing not-supplied units
  • (UI) Fixed a bug where human player was not able to do a region selection required by a card played by AI during AI turn (e.g. when the card « Corpo Truppo Voluntari » is played by the AI in scenario Spain 1936, or similar situations in Morat1476 or Fornovo1495)
  • (Game Scene) Fixed missing tooltip on button opening the description of the current scenario

Cards
  • (Cards) Improved AI during sieges so that its does not play too much cards on the same siege
  • (Cards) Fixed bug with siege cards (e.g. such as « Hannibal Rhodos » in the scenario Hamilkar 264).

Supply
  • (Supply) Fixed bug where the supply status of regions was not computed correctly. This could impact several aspects of the game, such as cards, reinforcements and victory conditions.

Movement
  • (Naval movement) Fixed bug in scenario Armada 1588 where naval stacks suddenly disappeared from the Map.
  • (Movement) Fixed bug where a stack without leader was allowed to enter a region with a non-fortified enemy structure containing units. This movement is actually an attack of the structure’s stack, so this is not allowed to a leader-less stack.
  • (Movement) Fixed bug where air units returning to a carrier boat remained above the naval stack, thus making it impossible to move the stack afterwards
  • (Movement) Fixed bug where merging two stacks, one of which containing units with 0 MP, would delete those units

Battles
  • (Battle) Fixed bug with computation of cavalry superiority bonus when the battle involved no cavalry unit in one side and some anti-cavalry units in the other side

Sieges
  • (Siege) Fixed bug with Terrain’s siege modifier not being applied in the correct direction
  • (Sieges) Fixed bug where the siege window was not automatically closed during AI turns

Victory
  • (Victory Conditions) Fixed a bug that prevented some victory conditions to be detected, causing the game to continue while one of the players should have won (e.g. victory condition based on tension index in scenario West Virginia 1861).

Various
  • (Localisation) Fixed wrong tooltips displayed for camouflage stack button and for turn summary window

Release of Gandamak 1842

The May release (ok, we know, it's June and we are late!) is showing up tomorrow, taking the players to the First Anglo-Afghan war, in 1842.

The troops of the British East India Company will attempt to install by force a ruler favorable to their interests in Afghanistan, while the local Afghan Tribes will resist the move.

Will the attempt end in disaster, like historically? Or will YOU, as head of the British expedition, succeed in your mission?

It's now yours to discover in another war in Afghanistan!

Release of Fornovo 1495

With this month's release, we make you re-visit the early Renaissance, during the famous First War of Italy (late 15th century).

  • French king Charles VIII invades the peninsula with his modern and strong army to claim the inheritance of the Kingdom of Naples.
  • Facing him, the Italian League is weak and disunited, but thanks to the patient and wily diplomacy of Alexander VI, the Borgia Pope, it will manage to gather its forces and, possibly, expel the French from Italy.

You can now take command of Knights, Swiss pikemen, Aragonese cabelleros, Condottieres and many other troops to fight for supremacy over the Italy of Michelangelo and Da Vinci.

OTHER NEWS
We also took opportunity of this release to make a large update of all the previous scenarios, with improvements, bug fixes and texts changes.

No Pasaran!

Today, we shall release the Spain 1936 DLC.

This is the biggest WAW scenario to date, with a massive campaign covering the whole of the Spanish Civil War, from its very begining in July 1936 till its end in 1939.

The game has hundreds of units, a large number of event cards (which you draw at the rate of 2 per turn), a big map covering all of Spain and the Baleares.

Based on the support each side will gather among the population, they will be able to mobilize more or less resources and assets to win this terrible civil war.

Foreign support and intervention is also factored, in addition to economics and politics.

Take control of Spain as the Nationalists, or prevent the 'Fascists' to overthraw the legal Republican government: ¡No Pasaran! (they shall not pass)
