Cards, the Universe and Everything News

Approved!

It’s finally happening! We’re thrilled to announce that Cards, the Universe and Everything is officially ready to launch on Steam. Yes, we’re still pinching ourselves.

After an energetic team huddle (and a lot of sighs of pure relief), we’ve locked June 5th as the big day for our PC debut.

We’d love for you to join us on this wild ride as we gear up for a week of community events, livestreams, and - let’s be honest - a lot of gloriously unhinged CUE gaming sessions.

More details coming soon. And as always...

Keep it CUE!

A Quick Update!

Some of you may have noticed that CUE’s Steam page now displays the message:
‘Notice: Cards, the Universe and Everything is no longer available on the Steam store.’

This follows an ongoing discussion with Steam regarding the PC version of CUE. They’ve raised some concerns about the title and, while we haven’t yet found a solution that works for everyone, we’re continuing to explore options and doing everything we can to move things forward and get the game onto the platform.

Thanks, as always, for your support and patience - we’ll keep you updated as things progress.

Cards, the Universe and Everything: First Look at Cyberspace Cards!

Hey! I’m Joe, Community Manager at Avid Games. If you’ve ever witnessed me misplaying basic cards live on stream or seen me stumbling around on Discord and socials - you already know the deal.

Our new Season, Cyberspace, is now live, bringing with it the new Programming collection (as you probably know!). But you're here for a sneak peek at some of the interesting new cards arriving this week, right?

Let's just say I might have accidentally stumbled upon a top-secret Google Doc (don't tell anyone at Avid), and I'm about to spill some exciting beans. Some of you might even find my potential future trouble amusing, so without further ado, let's dive headfirst into some of the awesome new cards heading your way in Cyberspace!

First up, feast your eyes on the Excellent Elements buffer, Atomium!

The Atomium isn’t exactly what you'd call understated. Built in 1958 for the Brussels World's Fair, it was Belgium’s bold declaration that science was the future - and also that they were really into giant metal spheres.

This new addition is set to create a fantastic new deck archetype, pretty much perfectly synergizing with your Excellent Elements and Super Structures cards! For our newer players, Super Structures are a fantastic starter deck, and this looks like the perfect evolution for those beginner decks.

Now, squeezing my beloved Super Structures down to just 9 cards in a 9/9 split (18 cards in a deck and we need 9 for the play ability) is going to be a challenge for a massive fan like myself. Sorry, Golden Gate Bridge, my love, but you might have to take a breather this season!

New to the wonders of Super Structures? Check out the Curated Deck in-game – you'll find it at the bottom of your deck interface, the fourth one down. (Maybe we should add some direct links in the future, eh? It is 2025 after all!)

Okay, enough with the complex stuff for now. Let's move on to a more straightforward card that you'll be eager to add to your collection: the adorable Little Owl!

12 power, you say? Doesn't sound like much, right? WRONG! The Birds collection is already a great option for newcomers, but this little feathered friend packs a serious punch, granting permanent power to your Life on Land cards in hand for a mere 2 energy! And you know what they say: permanent power is good. Very good.

Circling back to that super-low energy cost, Tiny decks have been getting some exciting new toys lately, and the Life on Land album boasts some incredible low-energy collections. Think of Tiny decks as a powerhouse of low-cost cards boosting each other to crazy heights. So, Little Owl is bringing BIG power to the Tiny scene! (Okay, I promise to stop just typing whatever pops into my head... moving swiftly along!)

And now, for the grand finale of this week's sneak peeks! I'm even venturing a bit further into the future than I'm usually allowed... I'm not even sure if I have the green light for this blog post... Introducing a brand new Documented card: Somnium!

The Documented collection is seriously cool, packed with some truly brilliant cards. Somnium is poised to supercharge your Moon in Motion collection, and depending on how many Moon in Motion cards you have in play, it'll also buff the rest of your History cards!

Moon in Motion might not have been the top dog in competitive play, BUT it did receive some significant love in our Resurrection season. So, with the potential for deck-wide History buffs thanks to Somnium's play ability, it's definitely time to revisit those lunar strategies!

Alright folks, that's all the sneak peeks I could squeeze out for this particular blog post! We sincerely hope you're hyped for Season 12: Cyberspace and all the awesome new content it brings to the CUE universe.

And remember, we're just around the corner from CUE launching on PC, so keep your eyes peeled for even more news and exciting content coming your way!

See you in the next one, and as always...

Keep it CUE!
