Skyworld Holiday 2017 Update

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Holidays are coming to Skyworld with the Skyworld Holiday 2017 Update.

From today through Sunday 14 January 2018:

• Don one of three unique Christmas player avatars and partake in the festivities as Santa, Reindeer or Elf
  
• Battle your way through royally decorated Dragons Peak and Royal Mine skirmish maps
  
• Compete in a happy event: Announcing the Skyworld Holiday 2017 Tournament!
  

Sponsored by AMD, the Skyworld Holiday 2017 Tournament lets you take on the devs and players in a knock-out tournament, win glory and fantastic AMD prizes (unveiled soon) to enter the new VR year in style.

Registration opens this Saturday

A maximum of 12 community players can register on a first come, first served basis. Registration will open from Saturday, 23 December 2017 @ 10PM CET / 1PM PT.

Once the 12 slots have been filled, you will be added to a waiting list should any cancellations take place.

Registration, match-making and tournament documentation will be hosted on Challonge.com. Make sure you have a Challonge account ready for when registration opens. Sign up to the Skyworld newsletter to get notified when it does.

Take on the devs!

A certain gauntlet was thrown to the devs, and it did not go unnoticed! Four of us will be participating in this tournament for glory (not prizes). To give you a fair chance at winning *wink* we’re making sure there’s no chance for two devs to be matched up in the finals or semi-finals.

Prizes won by devs will automatically be diverted to the next-best community player.

Tournament dates

The tournament is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, 30 December with the finals taking place on Saturday, 13 January.

When signing up, please take note of the match dates announced below. These are fixed dates: No-shows automatically forfeit a match.

Elimination round 1: Saturday, 30 December 2017 @ 10PM CET / 1PM PT
Elimination round 2: Saturday, 6 January 2018 @ 10PM CET / 1PM PT
Semi-finals: Saturday, 13 January 2018 @ 8PM CET / 11AM PT
Finals: Saturday, 13 January 2018 @ 10PM CET / 1PM PT
