Update on the Poll and Wipe

[p]Firstly, thank you all for your patience and understanding in the past few days.[/p][p]As a company, we've carefully considered all our options, and we believe the best path forward is Option 1, to do a world-only wipe of the game (character XP carries over into the new world). The game requires a wipe, and this is the only option that keeps all of the promises we’ve made to you as a community.[/p][p]I would also like to apologize to the community for the poll and all the confusion surrounding it. Not only to our players, but also to our moderators who have been doing their best given the situation. We have not done a great job communicating here and we want to do better.[/p][p]The idea behind doing a poll was that we felt that each of the options presented could be beneficial to the game, and we wanted to see if the community as a whole was aligned behind a single direction. Based on the results of the poll, it is clearly not.[/p][p]In addition to proceeding with a world-only wipe, we are also going to do a few things for the players who voted for the other two options:[/p]
  1. [p]We are going to give players the option to wipe their own character experience in the new Early Access world, if they choose to do so.,[/p]
  2. [p]For players, who want to know that their progress in the game is not in vain, or who have not tried the game because they don’t want to lose all their progress, we are also announcing that when we create the final BitCraft world, we will NOT be wiping the Early Access world. Players will keep their progress when the final world launches. We do not believe this will split the community, because the vast majority of players will be playing BitCraft for the first time in the launch world.,[/p]

New Year Clean Up - Patch Notes

BitCraft Default Branch - Patch Notes
[p]This week brings many bug fixes and quality of life from the new year cleanup as well as the foundations for the new quest system. We are trying a new approach where anything capable of being put out only on the preview branch has been put out there, with the plan to promote that to the default steam branch if there are no issues. Hopefully this should mean that if there are any issues with those changes they can be opted out of easily while we fix.
[/p][p]Added[/p]
  • [p]New quest system that splits up the tutorial into smaller quests. This is the foundation for further changes coming in the next update which will be improving existing quests, adding new ones, and changing the order.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Changed[/p]
  • [p]The ability to deploy a deployable will now also store it, if it's nearby.[/p]
  • [p]New players will now have auto-attack on their action bar by default.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Fixed[/p]
  • [p]Ancient Pots now should correctly respawn[/p]
  • [p]Combat actions with a long duration being overwritten by auto-attack.[/p]
  • [p]Tier 9 being called Magnificient instead of Magnificent.[/p]
  • [p]Claims dropdown showing newly created claims that you're not a part of.[/p]
  • [p]View storage on deployables walking all the way to the deployable.[/p]
  • [p]Passengers swimming in the center of the boat for the Fisherman's boat.[/p]
  • [p]Materials being refunded when changing a claim tile for another outside a claim.[/p]
  • [p]Cooldown reduction not being applied correctly.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Removed[/p]
