πŸ›  Patch 2.0.1 – Mid-Season Update

Hey everyone, this is BluishRain.

This mid-season patch is focused on trait system improvements based on your feedback, plus a few bug fixes and quality-of-life changes.

πŸ” Trait System Improvements
We’ve heard your thoughts on the recent trait system changes β€” both the good and the not-so-good β€” and we’re making targeted updates to address the key pain points. Our goal is to reduce the frustration around randomness while keeping the system rewarding and strategic.

Here’s what’s changing:

Each roll now always gives shards from 3 different traits – no more triple duplicates.

Rerolling guarantees 3 different shards from your last roll – helps avoid repeat disappointment.

All players now start with 3 free rerolls – a little boost to help you get going.

Discarding a shard now grants +50 bonus gold – giving you more flexibility and value from tough decisions.

At the 9th shard, if a trait can be completed, it auto-completes without needing a replacement – no more awkward replacement when you're one shard away.

These updates are part of our broader effort to make progression feel fairer and more consistent, and to lay the foundation for future systems and content.

πŸ› Bug Fixes
Brynhild's Hill Mover II now correctly grants +80 HP (was incorrectly giving 80 armor before).

🧰 Quality of Life
You can now switch to the Windows default cursor if you prefer the classic feel.

Thanks again for all your feedback and patience β€” we’re actively listening and refining as we go. As always, feel free to drop your thoughts in the community channels.

Stay sharp,
BluishRain

Lunaris Season Patch Notes

Dear Defenders,

Welcome to the Lunaris Season! We are excited to announce the major changes coming with this new season.

The Lunaris Season will begin on April 1, 2025, and will last for one month until May 1, 2025. The Battle Pass duration will also align with this timeframe. Since the season is now shorter, we have adjusted the seasonal rewards accordingly.

Scheduled Maintenance
To prepare for the Lunaris Season, we will be conducting maintenance on April 1, 2025, from:

16:00 - 18:00 Hong Kong Time (HKT, UTC+8)

10:00 - 12:00 Central European Summer Time (CEST, UTC+2)

01:00 - 03:00 Pacific Daylight Time (PDT, UTC-7)

During this time, the game will be unavailable. Please plan accordingly.

Trait System Adjustments
We’ve noticed that players have greatly enjoyed the new Trait system, and we recognize its value in making Hero Level and Experience more meaningful. This is no longer just an economy-driven game, as the Trait system deepens strategic decision-making. However, we also found that the Trait system was too impactful, making economy artifacts feel weak and diminishing the importance of purchasing cards.

To address this, we have made a series of changes to reduce the impact of EXP, while preserving the enjoyment of the Trait system:

Genre EXP Interval: 8/16/24/40 β†’ 4/12/24/40

Anti-Bank EXP: 3/4/5 β†’ 2/3/4

Early Graduation EXP: 3 β†’ 2

Destiny Spiral Random Times: 2/2/2 β†’ 3/3/3

Destiny Spiral EXP: 1/2/3 β†’ 2/3/4

Learn from Doing EXP: 4/5/6 β†’ 3/4/5

Additionally, we believe that the Trait system’s strong impact on gameplay stems from the power of certain traits. The strength of a hero is currently heavily dependent on the order in which traits are acquired. To address this, we have introduced a new Trait system, which we believe offers a more engaging playstyle.

New Trait System: Trait Shards
Instead of selecting a Trait every 5 levels, players will now pick a Trait Shard at every level. Traits are now categorized into different rarities, requiring different numbers of shards to unlock. Here’s an example:

Jenny: Fast Healing

Fast Healing I: Income +10

Fast Healing II: Armor +5

Fast Healing III: Magic Resistance +5

Fast Healing IV: Magic Damage +3%

Fast Healing V: Magic Damage +3%

Emerald: Jade

Jade I: Max HP +80

Jade II: Max HP +80

Since Trait Shards increase the overall power of traits, we have reduced the effectiveness of all traits by approximately 20%. This adjustment aims to make skill cards more impactful.

Enlightening Phase Adjustments
Since March 1, we have been testing the Enlightening Phase for a month. While it has made late-game strategies more diverse and allowed players to stage comebacks, it has also made certain builds too easy to execute. As a result, the Enlightening Phase will now only be available at 5-2 moving forward.

Additional Changes
Content
The summoning pool "Peerless Hero" has returned.

Balance Changes
Merlina's Crackling Lance: Damage reduced from 5% β†’ 3%

Secret Book Cost: Adjusted from 500/300/100

We hope you enjoy these changes and look forward to your feedback. See you in the Lunaris Season!
