Our plans for Vanguard Galaxy

[p]Hello everyone,[/p][p][/p][p]First of all we want to thank everyone that played our demo and those that gave us feedback about the game. And with Next Fest behind us we want to let you know what our plans are for Vanguard Galaxy. [/p][p][/p][p]Drumroll.... :)[/p][p][/p][p]We plan to release the game in Early Access this Autumn. [/p][p]It will at least include the following[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]A procedural galaxy with at least 100 systems to explore[/p]
  • [p]Infinite scaling content focused on combat: venture into dangerous portals to find better loot[/p]
  • [p]A much improved galaxy map that will allow you to navigate (to) these systems[/p]
  • [p]Lots of variety in activities you can find in the galaxy[/p]
  • [p]Dozens of ships to discover and obtain[/p]
  • [p]Expanded crafting possibilities[/p]
  • [p]Up to 9 skill trees [/p]
  • [p]Improved itemization, rarities of all types[/p]
  • [p]Market mechanics that allow trading of commodities[/p]
  • [p]Stats overview of what your current loadout can do[/p]
  • [p]More variety in weapons to use for all activities[/p]
  • [p]Hazardous environments that will require you to improve your ships resistances[/p]
  • [p]Improved autopilot behavior that handles all activities equally well[/p]
  • [p]Act 1 of the story[/p]
[p][/p][p]And of course next to all this we will keep on improving the overall game experience.[/p][p][/p][p]We also plan to run a closed beta test before the Early Access release, so if you are interested in testing out the game before hand, let us know on discord. Demo Hotfix 0.5.5.2

[p]Hello everyone, [/p][p][/p][p]We just pushed a small patch.[/p][p]Changes:[/p]
  • [p]Reduced the number of NPC miners to a maximum of one, only works in new games after this update[/p]
  • [p]Added option to remove stars and some smoke under a new tab Graphics in the settings[/p]

Demo Hotfix 0.5.5.1

Steam Next Fest and Demo Update 5.5.0

[p]Hey all, [/p][p][/p][p]Tonight Steam Next Fest will kick off and we're taking part with our demo. [/p][p]Tell your friends and we hope you enjoy the demo.[/p][p][/p][p]Changes:[/p]
  • [p]Added some more sound effects [/p]
  • [p]New explosion effect [/p]
  • [p]NPC's now jump into and out of points of interest[/p]
  • [p]Pirate miners at "Reclaim Asteroid Belt" missions can be chased off[/p]
  • [p]Added a miner with Core Explosive Launcher to the "Reclaim Asteroid Belt" mission[/p]
  • [p]Movement marker added when you give a move command [/p]
  • [p]Added Health bars for damaged units[/p]
  • [p]Added target indicator for your currently selected target[/p]
  • [p]The Autopilot will pick up salvage items for salvage missions [/p]
  • [p]Added hotkey overview in settings[/p]
  • [p]Added check for ammo while in a combat point of interest with the autopilot engaged, if empty the autopilot will return to the space station, it does not automatically stock up (yet)[/p]
[p] Bugfixes:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed getting a jump gate pass twice during combat playthrough [/p]
  • [p]Hint added to "Recover the materials" mission[/p]
  • [p]Fix for the tractor beam holding on to a target while cargo hold is full[/p]
  • [p]Fix for having multiple salvage missions for the same item at once[/p]
  • [p]The "Reclaim Asteroid Belt" mission is now seen as a combat mission for the autopilot[/p]

Demo Update 5.4.0 - Combat start

Hey all,

Today's update brings a new starting option to the demo, which is Combat.
It includes a brand new starter ship as well, the Margil, adds its own skill tree and a different path to finish the demo.

Changes:
  • Combat start as an option for New Game
  • Margil is now available as a starter ship
  • Skill tree for combat
  • New missions
  • New path to finish the demo
  • Fullscreen toggle added in menu's
  • Added buyback to shops for when you accidentally sell something important
  • Stack manipulation added so you can organize your inventory more easily


Bugfixes:
  • The Gatling gun performance has been improved
  • Improved transparency, some assets would still allow you to see through or click through the game
  • Chunks falling of ships would sometimes move in a funny way, no more, we don't like funny
  • The Galaxy map would break when you still had completed missions open
  • Material storage now correctly works when selecting the "Material Storage Boost" skill


And some smaller tweaks.
