When the sun sets on this gorgeous venue, Triple Threat Park will come alive with neon lights that accent the tropical environment.[/p][p][/p][p]Triple Threat Park boasts four head-to-head 3v3 courts, including a new one on the newly opened boardwalk near the beach. At the center of the park, there are three 3v3 courts for 6-player co-op games.[/p][p][/p][p]Based on community feedback, the top REP player on your team will provide your uniforms and the top REP player in the game will bring their basketball.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Team Up in 2v2[/h3][p]Another first in MyTEAM: 2v2 games![/p][p][/p][p]By the MyTEAM Store and Showcase Spot, you’ll find two all-new 2v2 half-courts in the middle of the street with chain nets. [/p][p][/p][p]These are co-op style games, where each person controls 1 Player Card. These fast-paced games feature 6-minute halves and can be accessed from a portal in Triple Threat Park or from the MyTEAM menu.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]All-Star Team-Up requires that you and four teammates each prioritize your five favorite NBA or WNBA Player Cards—they must be position eligible—and just like in Triple Threat Park, whoever has the highest REP will have the first choice.[/p][p][/p][p]Accumulate new rewards individually with a new Season Ladder, with the same repeating final prize mechanic as Triple Threat Park. [/p][p][/p][p]You can also earn rewards as a team by defeating opposing teams to collect wins. For every 5 games you win with the same squad, everyone will receive a reward, even if the wins aren’t consecutive. Develop chemistry on the court with your squad and climb the Seasonal rewards ladder together.[/p][p][/p][h2]KING OF THE COURT, PRESENTED BY AT&T**[/h2][p][/p][p]King of the Court is where the best of the best in MyTEAM compete for the best rewards and we’re taking it to the next level on Gen 9 platforms.[/p][p][/p][p]In NBA 2K26, no. 1 finishers on PC will each receive 1 Million VC for King of the Court.[/p][p][/p][p]Based on community feedback, it is now easier to participate. First, we’ve expanded King of the Court to take place during a full-weekend window, starting Fridays at 3:00 pm Pacific Time until Sundays at 11:59 pm Pacific Time, to be more accessible. [/p][p][/p][p]The qualification criteria is also simpler and now checks to see how much REP you’ve earned in the preceding week, allowing you to qualify by playing in any MyTEAM mode or by completing Challenges. [/p][p][/p][p]Once you enter King of the Court games, you will notice that the game difficulty will be set to a more competitive slider set compared to MyTEAM’s other multiplayer modes. Be sure to practice your Player Cards’ shots before jumping in![/p][p][/p][p]The leaderboard ranks the sum of each player’s four best Game Scores during that weekend, with four tiers of rewards each event. Three losses will freeze your score, similar to 2K25. Tier requirements are loosely based on the 1%, 10%, and 50% thresholds from 2K25; however, they will lock in hours before the end of the event to prevent score fluctuation as the remaining games are finalized at the buzzer.[/p][p][/p][p]Continue beating your own high scores to climb the leaderboard. Even if you don’t win the grand prize, everyone who qualifies and plays three games, win or lose, takes home a reward.[/p][p][/p][h2]BREAKOUT: GAUNTLET[/h2][p][/p][p]Another new game mode within Breakout is Gauntlet, where you put your entire collection to the test by completing games of increasing difficulty.[/p][p][/p][p]Gauntlet features a new straight-line game board—but there’s a twist. As you progress from Rookie difficulty to more challenging difficulties, you’ll only be able to use each of your Player Cards once per run. With Triple Threat, Clutch Time, and quick Full Lineup games, depth is your friend in this game mode, but so is understanding how to maximize every card in your collection. [/p][p][/p][p]Each game has Objectives that can be completed to return eligibility for a random card you’ve already used during this run. As the difficulty gets higher, more Objectives will become available each game, giving you more opportunities to gain back some of your used Player Cards.[/p][p][/p][p]The longer you continue a run, the better the rewards will be with a regularly updated final reward at the end of the path. There are prize games along the sides of the board every three spots, so after every three wins, you can optionally go up against gatekeeper teams to earn  rewards.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]More Breakout Improvements[/p][p]Based on community feedback, Breakout as a whole is even more rewarding in 2K26. Facing a gatekeeper team in Breakout no longer ends your run and instead takes away one of your three allowed prizes or losses, so you can continue playing on boards to earn up to three rewards in each run.[/p][p][/p][p]As you unlock neighboring spots on Breakout boards, you’ll notice new reward mini-game spots to receive Ball Drops, Ascension picks, Wheel Spins, Door Game searches, or Vault openings! Redeeming these free spots does not count towards your three prizes or losses per run—they’re simply more rewards available on the board![/p][p][/p][p]With these free spots being added, it could be a lot more difficult to trigger warps to other boards with fewer games available. To counter this, Breakout will see more focused and frequent updates to the lineup classes available on the initial board. Teams from the 1980s may be featured with their warp board available, while another update could see brand new lineup classes added with never-before-seen opponents for your lineups. New triggers have also been added to generate warps, but those will need to be discovered by the community.[/p][p][/p][h2]SINGLE PLAYER SALARY CAP[/h2][p][/p][p]Salary Cap mode returns in NBA 2K26—now with the option to play in single player games. The AI opponents you’ll face in single player games are real lineups created by other community members under the same salary cap restrictions.[/p][p][/p][p]Both single-player Salary Cap and multiplayer Salary Cap Online feature the same rewards track, but multiplayer games grant double Round Points for faster progression. Higher single-player difficulties also have the ability to speed up your progress in comparison to lower difficulties.[/p][p][/p][p]Similar to the updates in Triple Threat Park and All-Star Team-Up, Salary Cap’s round-based prizing will also include a repeatable final reward, just in case you can’t get enough Salary Cap action with its unique game format of two halves and a fixed-score ending.[/p][p][/p][p]Bridge the gap between single-player and multiplayer modes to keep things fresh and exciting in 2K26.[/p][p][/p][h2]GETTING STARTED[/h2][p][/p][p]At the start of your MyTEAM journey, choose between two 5-card lineups to play as, each with a mix of current and historic NBA and WNBA players.[/p][p][/p][p]Test these cards in a quick, 3-minute game and afterwards you’ll receive two Free Agent Option Packs, one with Diamond-rated Current Players that can be used for 25 games, and the other with Pink Diamond-rated Legend Players that can be used for 15 games. These option packs will include the NBA and WNBA cards in the game you just played.[/p][p][/p][p]For new or returning players, start your collection with rewards from the MyTEAM Tutorial. Here, you will experience the basics of MyTEAM 2K26, from the new Coaching staff features, upgrading your player cards, and earning a Clutch Time lineup’s worth of players. Plus, this is how you earn the first of the five traditional evolution Starter players![/p][p][/p][h2]MyTEAM ARENA*[/h2][p][/p][p]Bask in all of your achievements in the new starting location on Gen 9 platforms—the MyTEAM Arena.[/p][p][/p][p]This arena proudly displays banners, trophies, and murals from all of your accomplishments on the court and across the mode. This includes reaching Level 40 in a Season, getting promoted to Tier 1 in Showdown, collecting all the Player Card gems, completing feats across all MyTEAM modes, and more. Plus, there are special additions for the talented few that win King of the Court, or reach the Dark Matter Tier in MyTEAM REP.[/p][p][/p][p]Your MyTEAM Arena features lots of natural light and stunning views of the neighboring buildings. Pack your stadium with dedicated fans as you progress and continue playing MyTEAM.[/p][p][/p][p]The MyTEAM Arena is the initial home for every MyTEAM this year. NBA arenas will still be available to swap in, but the MyTEAM Arena is your trophy room and home turf.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]COACH DEVELOPMENT[/h2][p][/p][p]In addition to getting Badge Cards from packs or the Auction House, there is a new way you can invest in and improve your Player Cards. In 2K26, you can build out your coaching staff with up to five Coach Cards and expand a new skill tree to unlock powerful badges to add to your Player Cards.[/p][p]Coach Cards now have five categories for you to prioritize: Strategy, Leadership, Mentorship, Knowledge, and Team Management. You choose which category to assign your coach in your franchise, which will unlock Badge Training Challenges. The higher your Coach Card’s gem level & skills, the more powerful badges you can access by redeeming Coach Points.[/p][p]Coach Points will be made available at every REP tier and from Season Rewards. Redeem them wisely in your coach’s assigned category to unlock the badges that will help your Player Cards the most. If you decide to make a coaching change, your unlocked progress will remain even if you decide to swap Coach Cards or move your coach to a different category. As you increase your REP level, you will open more slots to add to your coaching staff, making more Badge Training Challenges available.[/p][p]Once unlocked, Badge Training Challenges can be started from the Challenges menu. Select which player you want to add the badge to and complete an in-game challenge with them to add it, no Badge Cards required![/p][p]Coach Cards will continue to provide in-game boosts in certain situations or for the entire game. If you have multiple active Coach Cards on your staff, selecting a Head Coach will grant access to that coach’s in-game boost.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]VICTORY CARDS & THE EXCHANGE[/h2][p][/p][p]When you win a game in MyTEAM’s competitive modes (Showdown, Salary Cap Online, and King of the Court) you will earn a Victory Card that not only has the REP gem tier of the opponent you beat, but also their team logo, game date, final score, game mode, and whether or not the opponent rage quit![/p][p][/p][p]Conquer opponents with high REP levels, collect their Victory Cards, and exchange them for rewards in The Exchange.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]There are also new ways to exchange your cards and receive rewards for duplicates or unused cards in your collection. [/p][p][/p][p]New OVR-based Exchanges may accept player cards of any gem tier, but the average rating of those cards must meet a minimum OVR rating. Exchange Chains must be done consecutively for more powerful rewards. Finally, Exchange Groups are multiple exchanges within a category and completing them all will earn you an additional group reward.[/p][p][/p][p]Based on community feedback, Exchanges can now also access the cards in your My Auctions menu (which can again be expanded by REPing up this year) where more cards can be stored before being swapped for rewards.[/p][p][/p][h2]MyTEAM REP[/h2][p][/p][p]REP is a status indicator in many respects throughout MyTEAM, and to see so many members of the community showcase their REP rewards, like the MyTEAM Coliseum and player banners, means a lot to us here at Visual Concepts. We’re excited to immortalize our Top REP players from 2K25 on the Top REP Court which is included in everyone’s starter kit in 2K26.[/p][p][/p][p]Shortening the grind between REP rewards was a common feedback item from the community. This year, many of the REP tiers now have multiple sub-tiers so that you can earn more rewards, more often. [/p][p][/p][p]Reach Dark Matter REP in 2K26 to earn a group of truly ‘Out of this World’ rewards, and one of the most iconic Carmelo Anthony aliases of all time: G.O.A.T. Hoodie Melo! [/p][p][/p][h2]…AND MORE![/h2][p][/p][h3]More Showdown Rewards[/h3][p]Showdown returns with weekly rewards giving you the choice between three rewards based on how many wins you get that week. This year, you can preview the weekly rewards available in the different tiers, helping you chart your path to the increased rewards in the higher tiers.[/p][p][/p][p]As you reach a promotion to a new tier, you will receive new rewards immediately when you rank up. Plus, the Season Win rewards have been expanded with more rewards for more wins.[/p][p][/p][h3]Domination Update[/h3][p]Domination now features new looks and formats, and a new reward called Crests. Every Domination game now includes an extra challenge available at the 3 Star difficulty. Complete the challenge and win by the listed score differential to unlock that game’s Crest. If you complete all 99 stars and all 33 Crests in a Domination, you’ll earn a reward worthy of its ultimate players.[/p][p][/p][p]Domination will launch with two sets this year representing the current NBA and the current WNBA leagues. As previously mentioned, WNBA Domination will need your lineup to be full of WNBA players to be eligible.[/p][p][/p][h3]New Player Card View[/h3][p]Viewing, upgrading, or swapping your Player Cards has never looked so good in MyTEAM. When you click the right stick to view a card, it will expand into different layers that reveal attributes, Badges, Shoes, and Evolution requirements while the player is added to the menu replacing the photo cutout. This is your new one-stop-shop for editing your Player Cards.[/p][p][/p][p]This new Player Card view is also featured whenever you swap cards in a lineup. Improved attribute comparisons give you a quick way to compare strengths and weaknesses of different cards, along with both players on screen.[/p][p][/p][h3]Favorite Cards in Your Collection[/h3][p]Use the new Favorite feature to bookmark Player Cards and bring them to the forefront of your collection when swapping players. A new Autofill with Favorite Players has been added to quickly add these players to a new lineup, and they will be on display in the My Collection menu as well. [/p][p][/p][h3]Presentation Updates to Eras[/h3][p]Triple Threat and Clutch Time era games in Breakout and Challenges now have historic court floors to match the Eras filter and opponents for that game. Plus, some new screen filters have been added for a unique twist in Challenge games. Each area features nine unique quests that test your abilities in that specialty. If you choose the Shooting questline, for example, your second quest will be to make 100 3PT or mid-range shots. [/p][p]Your mastery will earn you rewards tailored to each skill area, including Skill Boosts, unique apparel and cosmetics, new archetype names, Cap Breakers for that skill area, and permanent Max +1 and Max +2 Badge Perks. [/p][p]Whether you want to extend your primary skill to be even stronger or round out your secondary skills, Build Specialization is a new way to make your MyPLAYER even better.[/p][p]

[/p][h3]More Impactful Cap Breakers[/h3][p][/p][p]Cap Breakers are evolving. In NBA 2K25, each Cap Breaker raised an attribute by +1 point. Most players in the community chose to make their best attributes even better rather than addressing their weaknesses. 
[/p][p]In NBA 2K26, each Cap Breaker will still raise your highest-rated and strongest attributes by +1 point, but if you choose to apply them to your lower-rated attributes you will see greater boosts. For example, if your favorite MyPLAYER build is struggling in The REC because you left its Free Throw rating low, a Cap Breaker could raise your Free Throw rating by double-digit points at a time and provide a significant improvement.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Remember, Cap Breakers have a few restrictions to ensure a balanced gameplay experience:[/p]

• [p]A Cap Breaker can be applied to each attribute a maximum of 5 times.[/p]

This shooting control method still relies on a DOWN-UP flicking motion with the shot stick, but now your Shot Timing and Tempo will actually manipulate the shooter’s upper body and impact how the shot looks throughout the complete motion by reflecting how you move the shot stick.[/p][p][/p][p]From the start, you’ll see and feel the difference between early, late, slow, and fast releases. If you flick UP early and rush your shot, you can do quick releases. If you flick UP late and slowly, you’ll see the effect with a delayed pushing motion and lazier release.

This means on higher difficulties, including most competitive multiplayer modes,  only excellent timing “greened” shots will go in; however, shot timing windows scale by difficulty and will be less forgiving in competitive modes like Proving Grounds and Pro-Am, but more forgiving in team-control modes like MyTEAM where you have to adapt to different shot animations.

Excellent timing can significantly boost your chances of securing the board.
[/p][h2]CONTROLS[/h2][p][/p][p]Dictate every facet of the game with new and revamped controls for a more intuitive, deliberate, and free-flowing experience.[/p][p][/p][p]With this, overall game speed in NBA 2K26 is now sped up to reward players with faster decision-making, who can read the court, anticipate their opponent, and react quicker![/p][p][/p][h3]Quick Protect[/h3][p][/p][p]Ball handlers can now tap the Left Trigger to initiate Quick Protect movements to shield the ball and evade steals. If you see a defender reaching for a steal and react quickly enough with a Quick Protect, you can counter it. This balances the steal system by introducing more skill-based outcomes.
[/p][p]You can also put defenders in a compromising position by using Quick Protect while driving to the rim. Decelerate and pin your opponent against your hip to trap them in defender jail. [/p][p][/p][h3]Wrap Passes[/h3][p][/p][p]Wrap passes now have a dedicated control by double tapping CIRCLE/B. This expands the toolkit for playmakers to determine when you want to do a wrap pass and ensures you aren’t throwing the ball straight into the back of a defender.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]Alley-Oops[/h3][p][/p][p]Catching an alley-oop now requires more skill. Tapping the left stick slightly left or right from the direction you are currently screening will turn your player 45 degrees, and tapping the left stick in the opposite direction will turn your player 180 degrees. [/p][p]With this, NBA 2K26 features three-phase offensive AI that can attack through plays, freelance, or drive-and-kicks, or a combination of all three![/p][p][/p][h3]Help Defense Intelligence[/h3][p]Help defense can now dynamically adjust based on both the off-ball defensive pressure you’ve assigned and the position of the basketball in relation to the basket, so that your off-ball AI defenders can help on drives in the paint more consistently. 
[/p][p]As the ball gets closer to the basket, defenders will now be affected by the gravity of the ball and adjust their positioning to help recreate collapsing NBA defenses to protect the paint and then recover back out to shooters.
[/p][p]These improvements work in tandem with the improved drive-and-kick intelligence and complement each other to create a secondary level of ball movement that gives you opportunities to attack close-outs on defense and to make the second and third pass on offense.[/p][p][/p][h3]MyPLAYER Freelance Engine[/h3][p][/p][p]When playing as your MyPLAYER, your AI teammates will now consider your position on the court even when you don’t have the ball, which helps them determine floor spacing outside of plays and isolations.
[/p][p]Together with the improved drive-and-kick intelligence, your AI teammates will find you off-ball more consistently when penetrating or running a pick-and-roll action with you. 
[/p][p]This allows for a new set of Quick Plays that can be called by you, when playing off-ball, to alert your AI teammates to scoring opportunities. For example, you can alert your team’s ball handler that you are coming to set a screen for them, or call quick post-up and floppy actions for yourself.[/p][p][/p][h3]Improved Double Teams[/h3][p][/p][p]Double team defensive logic in NBA 2K26 has been improved to better track moving targets. AI will identify dangerous players more effectively, better anticipate when to send a double team, and close out more intelligently.[/p][p][/p][h3]Navigating Screens[/h3][p][/p][p]AI defenders now have improved logic to choose the best route around screens and obstacles on the court. You’ll notice more decisive positioning and movement to go over, under, or through the screen, depending on your strategy.[/p][p][/p][h3]Expanded Playbooks[/h3][p][/p][p]Playbooks in NBA 2K26 have been expanded to hold up to 80 plays! This allows playbooks to more authentically replicate teams’ offensive systems that they use in the real-world.[/p][h3]AI Difficulty Improvements[/h3][p]Ten new variables have been added to even more effectively differentiate the AI’s abilities across lower and higher difficulties including awareness of help defense rotations, speed at which help defense will commit once called for, how quickly defenders can recognize when a pass was initiated to react for pass lane steal opportunities, and more. [/p][p][/p][p]These are in addition to the variables introduced in NBA 2K25 and further improve how AI effectiveness scales with game difficulty.[/p][p][/p][h3]AI Shot Timing Ability[/h3][p][/p][p]In Play Now and MyNBA, a new AI/CPU slider called “Shot Timing Ability” allows you to separately adjust how skilled AIs are at timing jumpshots and layups.
