001 Game Creator got updated a few weeks ago to a version that brought a lot of stability improvements, fixed crashes, improved particle effect behavior & network functionality, and most importantly for our Android game devs, an updated Android Billing to version 6.0.1!

Open Dev Kit also received a BIG recent update that fixed a bunch of issues and added a whole lot more stuff!
The most major addition and something we know 001 users are also going to love to hear is dynamic lighting (spot and directional) and of course, dynamic shadows! Other noteworthy examples include a dedicated custom theme editor, allowing you to design your very own themes and create themes from existing ones, a sweet toolbar reminiscent to the one from 001 has been added to the RPG template in addition to other project and plugin toolbars for customized access to API and resource editors.

We ask all those that have already created a project to make sure to use this updated version as a base for their project. The update includes several bug fixes, but most importantly, it came to our attention that some of the resources used in the DLC were meant to be temporary and were not correctly replaced/removed before our initial release and cannot be redistributed.

001 Game Creator has been updated to v2023.009.000, and it features a variety of improvements, fixes and a few crashes, plus an updated Android Billing to version 6.0.1!

Most notably is the improved behavior of particle effects. Featuring fixes to various crashes when making changes to sprites with particle effects, as well as them being repeatedly reset whenever retrieving the sprite of any actor layers (Char(*).Texture(*)). Other noteworthy fixes include requests with "Query Webpage into Variable/Table" events from not working correctly occasionally with certain servers due to an HTTP header issue, plus some major memory leaks with inserting/removing array elements throughout the engine which also fixed the MMORPG server (non-dedicated) from crashing after running for a while or after hundreds of connections.
