[p]Hello TM Fans! We wanted to make a quick post here going over some of the stuff that has changed over the last year or so. If you've been active around here this will all be old news to you, but if you haven't you should check this over:
[/p][h2]Ownership changed ~2 years ago[/h2][p]We're sure the majority of people heard that Craig (The original owner of TM) stepped down and transferred to XBLToothPik. Around 2 years ago XBL stepped down and now we have James in charge of the show. James has been busy, along with the rest of the team, to bring you guys an improved Total Miner.[/p][p][/p][h2]Multiplayer is far more stable[/h2][p]For about 2 years now official multiplayer has been out. If "PikNet" was something you had to install for multiplayer the last time you checked in on the game you can rest assured we are long past that. Outside of some very specific cases you can play multiplayer with pretty much no issues at all in the current build of the game.[/p][p][/p][h2].NET requirement and Linux[/h2][p]You no longer should need to install .NET to play the game. We also found the specific issues that caused issues with loading the game on Linux (with Proton). These two changes made running the game on Linux about as easy as hitting the "Play" button. Unfortunately we cannot promise the game will work flawlessly on every flavor of Linux but we are atleast running tests on Steamdeck while we work on the game.[/p][p][/p][p]If any of these things are news to you we highly encourage you hop on and check out the game again. We are hoping to have some major changes coming here soon and we'd love for more former Total Miner fans to enjoy them! If you don't want to fall behind on this stuff again we recommend you come join us on Discord. [/p]
