Brand new camera system! Smooth background and enemy scrolling

[p][/p][p][/p][p]Choo Choo Engineers![/p][p]I've built a new camera system for Choo Choo Survivor 2, that makes use of three cameras, and you should now find the graphics to move really smoothly as you drive, and the monsters and background should move smoothly as you chug along at max speed! Hopefully the lines in the mines textures have been eliminated.[/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p]Every good thing though does come at a cost and here the cost is that the train is now permanently above the zombies so you will always be able to see your locomotive, but enemies can now appear underneath (such as the jumpers). Also your projectiles and wrecking ball can also obscure the console UI at the bottom of the screen.[/p][p][/p][p]Best wishes,[/p][p]GTGD[/p]

A new terrifying section of track - Raincoat Facility

[p]Choo Choo Engineers! [/p][p][/p][p]Our survivors have located a Raincoat Facility, and believe that this might be an origin site for some of the monstrosities that have been emerging! The site is under the control of insane Raincoat mutants and these monsters use jetpacks to do their jump attacks.[/p][p][/p][p]If you have more than two victories you will see Raincoat Facility as a possible track section in your journeys. The Raincoat Facility can only ever be the fourth or fifth track section. These locations are very dangerous because they are packed full of monsters, but at the same time there are tons of resources because the sites are being actively maintained by the Raincoat mutants. There are hardly any survivors so we can only imagine that most of the Raincoat staff at this facility have been turned into mutants.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Advanced jets are also being used by these mutants and so far we’ve only encountered transporters that do not have weapons, but the mutants like to jump out of these transporters using their jetpacks so it is important to destroy transporters to eliminate sources of these mutants.[/p][p]Good luck out there! [/p][p]GTGD [/p]

Bring in your own music! More guard tower improvements!

[p]Choo Choo Engineers![/p][p][/p][p]Those train journeys can be pretty long so now you can play your own music. Import your soundtracks through the Settings menu under Sound and Volume. You'll need to give the game permission to access the relevant folder on Windows or Mac and then you can import whatever music you want to! You can replace all of the soundtracks in the game.[/p][p][/p][p]The Guard Tower has received an update and there are now two Turrets on either side of the guard tower. These can be upgraded from your upgrade menu once the guard tower is active. The grenade launcher on the guard tower has had a reduction in damage dealt because of the additional damage from the turrets.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The settings option for notch control by mouse wheel has been moved from the Misc menu to the Accessibility menu.[/p][p][/p][p]Keep on winning![/p][p]GTGD[/p]

The Mighty Smasher, 40 minute survival, Achievements, Mouse wheel for Notch!

[p]Choo Choo Engineers![/p][p]There is now the option to engage in a 40 minute survival challenge and fight a mighty boss! At 30 minutes monsters will gain 5x health, deal more damage and move faster. They also drop more money as well! [/p][p][/p][p]You can advance time quickly to 30 minutes by activating the guard tower which is at the 97% mark. Once activated you can upgrade the guard tower from your upgrade menu and it has a grenade launcher that does impressive damage and superb knock back (a throw back to the grenade launcher of Choo Choo Survivor 1). Swarms of monsters will then continue to attack you from 30 minutes onwards and you must survive to 40 minutes. Then a mighty version of the boss will emerge and you can choose to defeat it to utterly defeat the monsters. When a mighty boss is defeated all zombies will perish and you can proceed to the finish line in safety and calm. Btw, you can proceed to the finish line at anytime past 30 minutes if things are getting too tough and so still win the run.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]There are now local achievements for the playtest edition of the game. I haven’t integrated Steam achievements yet (might do for the playtest or maybe for the demo, but definite for the full game). This gives more direction on what to accomplish in the game and the mighty boss challenges are definitely for more skilled players, and some skilled players may still find the challenge easy! For everyone else though it will be challenging to survive![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]You can now change locomotive notch using the mouse wheel. Just turn it on from the misc menu.[/p][p][/p][p]Keep on smashing through apocalypse![/p][p]GTGD[/p]

The Odds of Survival! - Choo Choo Survivor Newsletter

Choo Choo Engineers! Over the past two months some new dangers have emerged along with some great progress in improving the odds of our survival!

Mines are the latest type of track section to navigate through. They are filled with resources, danger and some survivors managing to hide down underground!

A few survivors have found a supply helicopter and they can get it flying again! Once the supply helicopter is working you can buy gold and steel from your upgrade menu using cash!

This section of track will appear very early in your journey at about 10%. Being able to buy gold and steel with money means that if you find a wall of zombies in front of you that seem too overwhelming then you can whittle them down and collect cash. Using your cash you can then order in gold or steel and then use that to upgrade your primary weapon power. A great strategy to ensure you never get stuck!

For $4,000 you can buy 3 gold, or 4 steel. If you have cash you can order in as many supplies as you need.

Just defeating the boss and winning isn’t quite fun enough!
Mindless track zombies now emerge on defeating the "boss" monstrosity and we must blast them and drive to the end of the track (good old finish line from the first Choo Choo Survivor)! Some survivors think these zombies were once Raincoat researchers. Whatever they may be they do carry lots of money and protein bars!

Vampires and trains do not go together and there’s a vampire lord out there who feasts on survivors so it is only natural that the best thing to do is to destroy this nasty and rescue our survivors!

A new locomotive and primary weapon has been brought online, The DRB Class 01.10 fitted with a lightning rod, and the Blaster energy weapon that leaves damaging flames! The Blaster is the most powerful primary weapon so far and the flames left behind by each blaster shot melt zombies in no time! The thrill of operating the blaster is like no other!

Our Survivors have established a train depot and it is now possible to purchase passive upgrades (meta progression). These can be refunded as well if you want to focus on other abilities. Tons of upgrades to purchase already. Access these through the Unlock Abilities menu.

Keep on surviving Choo Choo Engineer and Never Give Up!
