Decorations incoming + help unlock petting Captain Beebug! 🐝

While we're still in Steam Next Fest with the Tavern Talk Dreamwalker demo (please play as much as you can and wishlist the game), our Kickstarter campaign crossed 1.000 backers and reached the 55k stretch goal that brings seasonal decorations for the recently unlocked tavern decoration mode for the Drowsy Dragon! [/p][p]But there is more: up next are exciting D&D one-shot adventure pamphlets based on real Dreamwalker quests, and if we manage to reach 70.000, you'll be able pet adorable Captain Beebug in-game! 💖🐝[/p][p]Pledge now to unlock all of this awesome stuff and turn this game into the best it can be before we reach the end of the campaign. Let's go! [/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Decoration mode is coming![/h2][p]You'll be able to decorate your tavern and make it your very own with lots of different items. Let's have a look at what we hold in store for you:[/p]
  • [p]9 items you will start out with by default, Dreamwalker[/p]
  • [p]4 items taken from the original Tavern Talk you can obtain for free if you follow the original game.[/p]
  • [p]8 items from our indie game celebration collab. Do you recognize the games these items are from? (see details below)[/p]
  • [p]and, of course, the very trinkets that were unlocked when reaching the funding goal of the Kickstarter. These will be unlocked one by one as you progress in the game.[/p]
  • [p]We've just unlocked seasonal decoration packs for both Halloween and the winter season that will become available for free once the seasons approach.[/p]

So, we asked around and looked at all the awesome games we managed to team up with. For each of them, you'll be able to put an iconic item into the tavern. Can you recognize each game by its item? This adorable and cozy shopkeeping game has one of THE cutest protagonists that's coming as a decoration item. They also recently finished their Kickstarter and will launch a merch shop soon with this adorable punk as a plushie. WANT![/p][p][/p][h3]The Witch's Bakery by Sunny Lab[/h3][p]Our friends at Sunny Lab are cooking up an amazing 2D Adventure RPG: In The Witch's Bakery you manage a bakery during the day, explore Paris in the evening, and improve your magic at night—that and a whole bunch of secrets waiting to be discovered! Seems like the protagonist forgot their iconic hat in the Drowsy Dragon.[/p][p][/p][h3]Collector's Cove by VoodooDuck[/h3][p]At our friends over at VoodooDuck, cuteness has reached new levels with Collector's Cove! Ever wondered what it would be like to sail the high seas and uncharted waters, discovering new islands and crops, and doing it all from your own floating farm and garden? The game is about to launch super soon, so better go check it out![/p][p][/p][h3]Kill Your Darlings by Stray Fawn Studio[/h3][p]Our friends at Stray Fawn Studio know what they are doing, and Kill Your Darlings is no different: monsters, prison break, dating, and time management, all in one good hell of a combo! And did we mention that the characters are hot?[/p][p][/p][h3]Thrifty Business by Spellgarden Games[/h3][p]Spellgarden Games, the team behind Sticky Business, is bringing 90's nostalgia to you in the form of Thrifty Business, a management sim that puts you at the helm of a vintage thrift shop. Go find treasures and pre-loved gems by rummaging through boxes, and create gorgeous displays for your customers to discover.[/p][p][/p][h3]Tiny Bookshop by neoludic games[/h3][p]When neoludic games brought us Tiny Bookshop, you also thought about leaving your old life behind and starting your own cozy adventure, didn't you? You're in Bookstonbury-by-the-Sea and open a tiny bookshop from inside an adorable camper. You recommend books to the local community, decorate your bookshop to your liking, and discover little secrets around town as you explore the different spots to set up shop.[/p][p][/p][h3]Dating & Dragons - A Love Quest by Twisted Twenty Studio[/h3][p]Just in case you didn't know: Twisted Twenty Studio is an indie dev studio from Spain, currently working on their very first project, Dating & Dragons - A Love Quest, a D&D-inspired dating sim that blends visual novel storytelling with RPG mechanics. It has a rich, branching narrative (with secret endings), strong LGBTQIA+ and queer representation, and all of it while rolling dice and exploring dungeons. Rumor has it that Captain Beebug has a crush on their super cute little red dragon mascot, Gazpacho, which is why their portrait can now be found on the tavern's wall - if you put it there.[/p][p][/p][p]We are so happy to have our friends' projects included in our game!
