Dev Update: Massive Progress in The Artifactory

Welcome back to another The Artifactory devlog. The game isn’t out yet, but development has been wildly productive lately, and we’re excited to finally share what we’ve been building behind the scenes. Here’s a look at all the new content, features, polish, and ongoing work happening inside the factory.[/p][hr][/hr][p]
[/p][h2]New Content Added to the Build[/h2][p]• 10 brand-new maps created for testing — offering new layouts, mechanics, and fresh ways to cause complete crafting chaos
• 5 new playable characters now fully functional and integrated
• A “Four Knight” skin set — because why wouldn’t knights work in a ridiculous lootbox factory?
• Our first seasonal theme: a Halloween-themed demo build is now complete and used internally
• 6 new resources added to the production chains
• 2 new craftable item types ready for recipe experiments[/p][p]
[/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h2]New Features & System Updates[/h2][p]• Map Background System — maps now have detailed, illustrated backdrops
• Pinned Recipes — testers can now pin up to 3 recipes, visible in-game and switchable on the fly
• Tool Carrying System — tools persist with players, and the UI shows who’s holding what
• Station Overhaul — updated models and new visual effects for:
• lootbox spawners
• resource spawners
• packers
• deploy gates
• Delivery Station Flags — a waving flag signals truck arrival (our testers love this one)
• New Tutorials — covering all the new mechanics and systems
• Help Menu — accessible anytime during testing
• Brand-new Minigames — shark chase, platform hopping, and portal puzzles
• Level Start Rework — added a 5-second countdown + visible tool placements before the round begins
• Level End Updates — extra time to finish actions before results
• SFX volume polish • Color-coded levers for readability and usability[/p][p]
[/p][hr][/hr][h2]Bug Fixing[/h2][p]We smashed a ton of bugs.
Wobbling? Fixed.
Random fires? Mostly fixed.
Glitches? Exorcised.
If it was weird, cursed, or exploded unexpectedly — it probably behaves now.
