Today we bring you our first Steam dev log and our special edition summer dev log for Unmasked Truths: Shattered Dreams! [/p][p]Now, let's jump into what we have been doing behind the scenes and what we have in store for you during August. 👇[/p][hr][/hr][p]During the last couple of months, the entire team has pulled together to tie up loose ends and complete our very first externally playable build in eager anticipation of our planned March 2026 release of arc 1! We’ve submitted the game to a ratings review board ahead of the public debut of a 15-minute demo, taking place from August 20-24 at
Gamescom 2025 in Cologne, Germany, where we have reserved a 2-PC space.

At Gamescom, you will be able to:[/h3]

- [p]Walk around the campus front garden and café, and [/p]
- [p]Play through fully voiced conversations between characters. [/p]

But don’t feel too left out if you can’t attend!We also plan to make a version of this 15-minute demo available for free to the general public on
itch.io in
late September! [/p][hr][/hr][p]From updating the script and finishing the final voiceover recording session, to thumb nailing CGs, and height mapping, no stone has been left unturned!… [/p]

[p]… quite literally, when you consider team members have spent the last couple of weeks reworking every leaf, stone, and collider to ensure that the game is optimized to run as smoothly as possible, and players don’t accidentally fall into the watery void!

But those are just some of the day-to-day things that game devs deal with, especially when taking what was originally planned to be a 2D visual novel and fitting it to a 3D explorable world.[/p]

[p]It’s been a long 4 years, but the end is in sight as we see scenes that were once just a bullet point in an outline fleshing out into the world, and becoming real! We can’t wait to share the results of all our hard work with you. We hope that players will appreciate all the love and care that’s gone into every aspect of the game’s creation!

During these hangouts, we answer your questions and generally vibe together while working on elements of the game, with our most recent featuring CGs and 3D sculpting!
We’re currently working on organizing a number of different activities, including coloring contests, Steam gift card giveaways, and more!
