Hello, Detectives of Nollyn.
This is Slater Chae, the developer of "Man of Nollyn",
Since Patch v1.02 and the Steam Next Fest (June 2025), several content creators have graciously tried out the Demo. Patch v1.05 was only made possible thanks to their efforts and the generous feedback they shared with me.
This update primarily addresses a frequently reported screen-freezing issue, and revises certain bribery/intimidation clues and interactable objects.

The changes are as follows.
[/p]
- [p] Game screen won't freeze at refresh rate above 60Hz.
[/p][p]Some content creators encountered a crash where the game became stuck on a single frame, all while the music continued, menus worked, and movement remained possible. The game was still running, but visually frozen.
This issue stems from the engine used (RPG Maker MV), which struggles with high refresh rate monitors. If the game isn’t properly frame-limited at the engine level, rendering halts while game logic continues in the background.
With this update, players using high refresh rate monitors should no longer experience this issue.
If you still encounter screen freezes or crashes after the update, please report your experience on the Steam Community discussion page.[/p]

- [p] Miles's bribery/intimidation clue has been updated.
[/p] - [p] Clara's base dialogue and her bribery/intimidation clue has been updated.
[/p][p]Below is spoiler-heavy content. Please proceed with caution.
When bribed or intimidated, Miles will now mention what day "yesterday" was, giving players a way to deduce the current date.
Previously, this was deliberately avoided to preserve the case's complexity. But to reduce the overall difficulty and offer a greater sense of "reward" for using bribery/intimidation, this information is now included.
For Clara, her base dialogue now includes two pieces of information :
1) Harry hired her “last month.”
2) Clara claims that “Harry never had kids.”
These lines help players infer that Harry’s child was already gone before Clara was hired.
Her bribery/intimidation dialogue now also reveals the true identity of Nancy Heart.
While the name was introduced as a red herring, leaving her identity unresolved turned out to be a poor design choice.
To make Clara’s clue more meaningful and resolve lingering player curiosity, her updated dialogue now clarifies who Nancy is.[/p]

- [p] The content of the small memo on the table in Harry’s library has been updated.
[/p][p]Many players described this chapter as "hard."
After reviewing playthroughs, I've realized the difficulty didn’t stem from players thinking incorrectly or the puzzles being too complex. Rather, it was because they struggled to connect the dots, compelling them to resort to blind guessing and repeated rejections, ultimately leading to the case being perceived as frustratingly difficult.
The newly updated evidence that is the small memo Harry left on the table should better help players piece everything together and make those connections more naturally.[/p]

- [p] Revised Vin Virosa’s final explanation.
[/p] - [p] Unified Japanese translations for Château Valcour, Réserve Royale.
