[p]Hey Scouts o7 Okay so, it's been a wild time since launch. PEAK managed to exceed our expectations of player count and hype by like... a lot. We just hit TWO MILLION COPIES SOLD in 9 days. We seriously cannot thank you enough for all the love and support we've had on this game. We're addicted to laughing at all the TikToks, posts, and Twitch streams - so please keep tagging us in them - it really hypes us up. There's an abundance of ways we would like to say thank you, but I think the best way we could do that is by sharing with you all what's next: [/p][h3]Yes, we are now looking into possible updates. [/h3][p]

Some Disclaimers:
We will not be sharing exact details yet on what we're looking to add to these updates. it's very early stages but we have been noting down as many of the suggestions that we've received from the community as we can. We won't be able to do all of them, but we're excited to see what we bring to PEAK! We're still prioritizing bug fixes and stability first so don't expect a huge content update right away.

We just know that the community is excited to see what we'll do next, and so are we! Possible updates might range from quality of life features to new content and all the funny additions that we wished to make real from the start.

We don't know how many major updates we're planning either. Since we're 2 studios who have other projects to work on, and neither of us being live service studios - we'll continue to update you on any news as we go. The last thing we want to do is promise any features that we can't make a reality.

THATS RIGHT. We have some ideas in the works. This was another thing we didn't really expect to do, but the excitement from everyone in the community has got us looking at some pretty great things... Stay tuned!

[/p][h3]How's the bug fixing going?[/h3][p]
Pretty good! There's a lot but we're slowly getting through them. We pushed a large fix for AMD users, but we're continuing to investigate a variety of common reports. Some of these are:

- Disconnection/Reconnection issues
- Performance and Optimization
- Mic/Audio issues
- Crashes

We are still a small team, so we really appreciate all the patience with us tackling bug reports. We're reminding ourselves to take breaks, fix bugs and also appreciate the success of the project

You have a Swedish hot tub, a Korean game jam, and that pesky emotion called jealousy to thank for Peak


How does one come up with, and subsequently make, Peak? Well, it sounds like you just kind of have to do it in weird ways. If you've missed it, Peak isn't just slang you've heard your teen use to denote something being really good, it's a co-op video game about climbing mountains with your friends and having a very good/ bad time while doing so. The bulk of work was also done in a single month as part of a collaborative game jam between Another Crab's Treasure developer Aggro Crab and Content Warning developer Landfall. And in an interview with PC Gamer, a couple of the devs that worked on Peak have shared a little insight into how it got made.

PATCH 1.5.a: Improving lobby joining and fixing some issues!

[p]Hello Scouts! Small bug fix today, but ideally this will help user reports of random players joining your game - sorry about that!

Through default Steam settings, players can join your game by searching your Steam username and joining if you do not have the correct privacy settings enabled. For extra protection on how to do this:

Go to "View My Profile" > Edit Profile > Privacy Settings > Change to Friends Only (or Private).


We have pushed a fix to hopefully prevent players from bypassing this but please let us know if you still encounter problems! [/p]
  • [p]Lobby joining improvements Improved running/idle animations on sloped surfaces [/p]
  • [p]Fixed issue causing Bookworm achievement to be unobtainable [/p]
  • [p]Items that clear all statuses will no longer clear the Weight status [/p]
  • [p]Cursed Skull now gives all your friends some bonus stamina, alongside its... other effects[/p]
