The DILLYDALLY Mini-Update

[p]Finally,

The most highly requested feature since launch is here. Chess in the Airport. CONTROL REBINDING!! To go alongside this, we added some new features to tide you all over until our next major biome release. [/p][p]Since it's PEAK WEEK on Twitch, we thought we'd focus on some low scope ways to enhance the roleplay experience and kill some time in the airport while you're waiting on your friends to boot up and have 1000 people in chat to entertain.[/p][p]
We also added another badge to go after, so hopefully you guys will be a little less disappointed when its an Alpine day...
[/p][h2]REBINDABLE CONTROLS[/h2][p]Sorry for the delay on this but it's finally here! You can now remap your controls on Keyboard & Mouse or Gamepad.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]It's not a perfect feature as we probably missed some rarer inputs, so let us know if you've got one and we'll try to look into it.

Keep in mind you can only do this from the Pause Menu at the Airport or on the Island, not at the Main Menu.
[/p][p][/p][h2]DILLY DALLYING[/h2][p]There are some new exciting ways to waste time in the Airport![/p][p][/p][h3]BASKETBALL[/h3][p]This was on our knowyourmeme page...[/p][p]
Basketball is in the Airport. We even made it dribble! Not sure what a real half-court game looks like here, but you can definitely play H-O-R-S-E and Knock-Out. Get creative!
[/p][h3]CHESS[/h3][p]Basketball isn't your thing? Do you work out at the library? There's a big ol' chess board now too. Pieces will automatically lock in place after placing them down so don't worry about a stray basketball ruining your 200 IQ setup.

Admittedly, this is the laziest implementation of Chess imaginable. There's no chess engine to tell you if you've blundered. There's nothing stopping you from doing illegal moves they're literally just physics objects. It's like real life ok.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h3]
PHOTOBOOTH[/h3][p]Take cute pictures with all your friends! The game will automatically take a screenshot and save it to your Steam Screenshots folder. There's even some "prop" versions of your favorite items that don't work, but you can pose with them![/p][p][/p][h3][/h3][h3]ASK BING BONG[/h3][p]That's right, there's dillydallying past the airport too. Not sure if you can make that jump? Just ask Bing Bong! He's now equipped with a voice box that will give you a yes-or-no answer when you squeeze him. Another reason to take him to the PEAK.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Speaking of Bing Bong...[/p][h3]

  • [p]Being passed out from Thorns now will not cause the death timer to decay at a faster rate.[/p]

[/h3][p]We put up a new patch identical to this one on public-beta except with Lava Rising re-enabled. In the last beta it was certainly borked. I think we fixed it this time forreal but we just wanna make sure before it hits the main branch.

A. Regenerate the maps[/p][p]
Since map generation can't be done at runtime, we have to do this every few weeks until the end of time until we come up with a better solution lmao.

and

B. Re-disabled the lava rising.

Thanks to your reports, we've probably got enough logs to fix the situation soon, so for now we're re-disabling it.

Scouts! We have yet another little update for you. This one adds the much requested Color Blindness Mode as well as some bugfixes and balance.

Meanwhile we're hard at work on the next biome >:) Stay tuned!


NOTE: We are still working on fixing the rare issue where the lava rising gets desynced. We have added better logging to detect this. Logs can be found at C:\\Users\\YOURNAME\\AppData\\LocalLow\\LandCrab\\PEAK.   • [p]Reduced the maximum time before the first tornado can spawn.[/p]
  • [p]Slightly increased the minimum time before a tornado can spawn again.[/p]
  • [p]Slightly reduced the commonness of the "Tornado Hell" biome variant,[/p]

  • [p]Fixed a potential issue where playing a vanilla game after previously having visual mods installed (or playing with a modded player while not having their same mods installed) could cause a variety of visual and functionality issues. This could include, but was not limited to, players permanently showing up as a default skin in the endgame screen even if not wearing modded cosmetics, as well as the endgame report breaking entirely and preventing certain achievements from being obtained.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where, rarely, getting caught in a tornado would cause the game to freeze on the loading screen upon failing a run.[/p]
  • [p]We gave the backpack new physics that should prevent more cases where people would lose their backpack. [/p]
