Kingdom Notes #5: Lady Aelis

[p]Hello everyone!
Thank you for playing the demo and for all the feedback you’ve shared so far. Your comments and suggestions are valuable and help us shape the game in the right direction. We’re reading everything and using it to fine-tune balance and gameplay systems.[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]Today, we’re continuing our hero showcase. It’s time to introduce another hero of the human faction, this time focusing on the magical side of the human kingdom and a different approach to victory.[/p]
Lady Aelis
[p]She grew up surrounded by books, magical crystals, and ancient castle walls. An heiress of a line of mages, she accepted power reluctantly and never missed a chance to set it aside and return, even briefly, to magic and research. Although she loves and cares for her people, she has always hoped that fate has something greater in store for her. When the undead rose, Aelis took it as a sign and set out in search of the Grail without hesitation.[/p][p][/p]
Personal Artifact
[p]Aelis wields the “Rune of Protection”, a powerful rune she created to protect her companions on their adventures.[/p][p]This artifact increases the defense of all units in the army for each tile with active road runes.[/p][p]You can place many of these runes on the map and gain a noticeable effect, but this will require a strong and well-developed economy.[/p][p][/p]
Unique Tiles
[p]Aelis’s tiles grant her unconventional options. The road runes allow you to gain a significant defense boost in moments of danger. The Magical Forge lets you obtain legendary items, helping you find the best build options for your strategy. The Crystal Obelisk can temporarily stop enemies from spawning from a specific tile.[/p][p]However, all of these tiles require a constant expenditure of crystals to function. Your task is to ensure a steady supply of crystals and adapt to not always being able to spend them freely.[/p][p][/p][carousel][/carousel][p][/p]
Army
[p]Thanks to her artifact and unique tiles, Aelis can work with almost any units. However, unlike other heroes, she cannot quickly amass an army or make it overwhelmingly powerful in a short time.[/p][p][/p]
[p]When playing as Aelis, you’ll need to make the most of her unique tiles and avoid risks in the early game. Once things become easier, the forge and crystal obelisks will help you assemble an ideal build.[/p][p]Since the Rune of Protection grants a percentage-based defense bonus, it’s worth focusing on warriors with strong base defense values, for example, the pride of the mages: the Living Armor.[/p]

[p][/p][p]See you on the battlefield! [/p]
