Spooky's HD March 1st Launch and Why
Hey everyone!
I'd like to start this post off by saying THANK YOU. Thank you so everyone who put the game on their wishlists and THANK YOU to everyone who has been patient with us as we finish up this project. We've had to push release a few times and we know it can be a bit frustrating because you all want the game now but trust us, it'll be worth it.
Onto some explinations and updates
We finished off all the scripted rooms and specimen for each set of rooms. Why this took so much time is because each specimen now has a way they "spawn" into the room. They don't just... poof into existance like they did in the original game. They all have special animations for entering rooms and chases now. For example, specimen 2 spawns out of the goop puddles and you can see him do this. Specimen 3 actually crawls out of holes in the ceiling, etc. I don't want to spoil too much of course.
We are currently working on improving the arcade games that you find on the occasion. They'll still be Mall of the Spook, Mrs. Spook, and Spooky Cart, but they'll be a little different and work better all together.
The "Brain Room" - room thas has the tank with the brain inside now does something special - we can't say what yet. It's a cool surprise.
CAT-DOS is also being worked on, it'll have a cool new system to it that I think you all will enjoy.
That's just a few things that we've been working on this week that have caused us to push the game back just a few more days.
We could technically release right now but CAT-DOS, arcade games, brain room and a few small things wouldn't be included and we feel that's not acceptable.
We want to release the game with all content and not have to patch things in, I know some of you want the game now but please hold off with us for a few more days.
