Discovery Scanner - 23.01.2023 | Update 14.02 Deployment Date Announcement!

Greetings Commanders!

A little later than usual with the push out of Discovery Scanner this week, so thank you very much for your patience today.

Lighter on community news but a little more impactful with game news - we have an announced deployment date for the "January Update", now titled 14.02!

Update 14.02 is scheduled for deployment on January 30, next week.

The full expectations of the deployment, in terms of downtime and release times, as well as update notes and confirmed fixes, will be posted to you in due course, ahead of time.

If anything changes, like the ever swirling Galaxy can sometimes tend to do, we'll of course be promptly in touch.

Interim January Update:
In last week's Discovery Scanner we shared information of a forthcoming 'interim update', ahead of the next greater scale update of 'Update 15', which will look to address a number of remaining core issues, present and reported since the release of Update 14, due to you before the January month ends.

This plan remains the case and we do owe Commanders a specified date for this deployment.
As soon as we have it, we will let you know.

Mission Board Issue Progress:
Last week we released some initial improvements for issues surrounding the loading of Mission Boards following the release of Update 14. The official post can be found here.

We're pleased to see reports of these improvements making a positive impact so far and as mentioned, we'll continue to monitor the situation and release further support where needed. Thank you, as always, for your patience o7

Elite Dangerous Update 14 sees the Thargoid war come home

Elite Dangerous Update 14 has arrived, and it marks a new phase of the ongoing war with the alien Thargoids. In the months following the space game's detonation of the Proteus Wave weapon, Thargoid activity has increased - but now, with Aftermath: War, they're on the attack, and humanity will now have to fight to defend what they've built across the galaxy, or risk losing it.
