Rainbow Six Siege Splinter Cell alumni Zero might be nerfed next

For Rainbow Six Siege, a tactical FPS with well over 50 different operators heading into its' eighth year of content, balancing updates are vital - perhaps even moreso than brand new content. However, just because they're important, doesn't mean they're easy to identify; for example, you can easily identify a bug that needs fixing in an update, and that's just as important. But, saying that, Rainbow Six Siege players are growing increasingly convinced that Splinter Cell alumni Zero is next on the chopping block; we disagree, and here's why.

As highlighted by this Rainbow Six Siege fan on Reddit, Zero has access to one of the best assault rifle options in Ubisoft's FPS: theSC3000K. Dealing decent damage while boasting a high fire rate and a large magazine size, this AR has benefitted hugely from the latest set of patch notes - which buffed the damage bonus from the Extended Barrel attachment by 15%.

In addition to this, Zero is also a three-speed Attacker. This makes him one of the more mobile Attackers in-game and a lethal operator in the right hands. One self-proclaimed Iana main on Reddit went as far as to say that Zero is "absolutely busted" on maps like Bank, right now.

Rainbow Six Siege should introduce this Apex Legends ability in Y8S1

Ubisoft might be doing quite a lot of things right when it comes to its' tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege, but that doesn't stop this game's players discussing new mechanics and changes constantly online. While some of these ideas are... Just not that good, there are a handful that have quite a lot of merit. We know we said Rainbow Six Siege should adopt this useful Overwatch 2 feature in the future, but Rainbow Six Siege really should introduce this Apex Legends ability as soon as possible - it would be a game changer.

As suggested by self-proclaimed Bandit main 'Yebzey', there's a group of Rainbow Six Siege fans online that think Rainbow Six Siege should introduce a feature where downed operators could be dragged to safety before being revived. This is, essentially, what Apex Legends' Newcastle can do with his Retrieve The Wounded passive ability.

Now, we know Rainbow Six Siege operators can move a little while DBNO - just like players can in Apex Legends. However, there's quite a high chance that someone who goes down in Rainbow Six Siege isn't already in a great spot for a revive. You know, because they've been shot.

Rainbow Six Siege should adopt this useful Overwatch 2 feature

The next major Rainbow Six Siege update is on the horizon and, as always, there's a lot to look forward to when it comes to Ubisoft's tactical FPS. However, while we can't confirm whether this is something we'll see in an upcoming update or not, there's one Overwatch 2 feature Rainbow Six Siege should adopt as soon as it can: the ability to practice in the shooting range when matchmaking - and we're not the only ones out there to think this.

When it comes to winning in Rainbow Six Siege, being able to hit your target is - perhaps - the most important aspect to gameplay. We know map knowledge, planning, and preparation is something you need to stay on top of, but this is a first-person shooter when it boils down to it. So, even though it goes somewhat without saying, you need to make sure your aim is top-tier at all times.

And, how are you able to do that in Rainbow Six Siege? The shooting range - a feature that is slowly being updated by Ubisoft to offer more relevant information and recoil feedback to players looking for a little finesse.

Rainbow Six Siege patch notes detail Grim buff, but it isn't enough

While mechanical skill is vitally important when playing a tactical FPS like Rainbow Six Siege, operator balancing updates from Ubisoft can really make or break the game - and they're a constant topic of discussion for players online. Following some rocky Rainbow Six Siege server maintenance, Ubisoft introduced the Y7S4.2 update and a brand new set of Rainbow Six Siege patch notes detailing a minor Grim buff; the fans, though, they don't think this update is enough.

Looking at the official Rainbow Six Siege patch notes post here, we can see that the Grim buff introduced is so minor it actually only does one thing - something that doesn't even affect his abilities. The Y7S4.2 update added both the 1.5x and 2.0x sights to the Commando 552, the primary weapon Grim players make use of in-game.

For anyone hoping to play Grim the next time they try to clamber up the Rainbow Six Siege ranks, this is far from a bad change. As an Attacker, it's important to be viable at mid-range firefights, especially if you want to take advantage of this particular operator's Kawan Hive Launcher unique gadget.
