[p]Do you like intense, challenging strategy? Or do you prefer a more relaxed game? I'm thrilled to announce that Vega Chronicle now has adjustable difficulty settings:[/p]

• [p]Casual: Alien civilizations are friendly unless you attack first.[/p]
• [p]Normal: Alien civilizations try to win.[/p]
• [p]Impossible: Alien civilizations have more resources than you.[/p]

[p]Other improvements over the last month include an entirely new fleet combat system, new prosperity and disaster events, and more technologies to research![/p][p]Stay tuned for a playtest around the end of the month to try out these new systems.[/p]

[p]We have been updating the game with all the great feedback we got from our last playtest, including improved galaxy generation, more aggressive enemy AI, and new ancestral virtues, such as:[/p][p][/p]

• [p]Gastronomist: "Excess food production increases happiness.",[/p]
• [p]Transmogrify: "Farms, mines, labs and colony bases can be can be transformed into farms, mines, and labs.",[/p]
• [p]and Desert bloom: "Arid homeworld. You can terraform arid planets."[/p]

[p]I'm excited to report that the Debut Festival and the 4X Festival were awesome for building awareness of Vega Chronicle:[/p]

• [p]We more than doubled our wishlist count over about two weeks[/p]
• [p]We received feedback encouraging us to to translate the game into more languages, starting with Simplified Chinese, which we are currently working on.[/p]
• [p]We learned about other cool 4X games currently in development (Check out Folk Emerging).[/p]

[p]I'm thrilled to announce that Vega Chronicle will participate in the Steam 4X Fest 2025, from 8/11 to 8/18, and will run a playtest during the festival with a new game version.[/p][p][/p]
