A Decade of Drilling: Turmoil Turned 10 Today!

Dear Oil Entrepreneurs,

Today, it was exactly 10 years ago that Turmoil was first released on Steam in Early Access. It's been quite the adventure! We're happy to celebrate this special day with a juicy discount, and we're especially thankful to everyone that supported us on our way to reaching this milestone.

A birthday is not complete without some decoration, so you might notice we've given the Turmoil logo a temporary makeover in the title screen. There's even special thank you note there from the mayor himself!

We're hoping to stick around much longer than these 10 years, not in the least because we still highly enjoy playing the game ourselves. So, don't be surprised if you see us in the Daily Challenge rankings, or as an opponent in a random multiplayer game! We're looking forward to it.

Hold on to your hats because we’ve got an update that’s going to shake things up! We’re upping the challenge frequency by introducing Daily Challenges, bringing you fresh gameplay every day.

What’s New?

We're ditching the Weeklies and present you with the opportunity to test your mettle against the world on a Daily basis! And as a bonus: If you own the The Heat is On DLC, get ready to get hands-on with magma in The Volcanic Lands, now added to the Daily Challenge carrousel!

And if you want to go deep or refine your drilling game, Deep Mode and The Cliffs have been added as Daily Challenges as well, as part of the Deeper Underground DLC! So, saddle up and check in every day to make sure you don’t miss out on your daily dose of Turmoil action!

Deeper Underground update

Dear Oil entrepreneurs,

Today's update brings some bug fixes and updated mechanics! Many thanks to everyone who reported bugs on the Turmoil Steam Community boards. Please know that even if we do not respond to every post, we do read them and your feedback is much appreciated!

Features

We changed the reward for picking up a ruby in deep mode. Instead of getting a bonus at the end of the level, you now directly get a bonus of $500 for your research fund.
Added some visual feedback for passing every 100m in Deepmode.

Bug fixes

Updated localization files
Fixed an issue where Deepmode levels sometimes had the background of the cliffs levels.
Fixed an issue where the extra time you get for using a diamond in the main game is not counted in your final profit of the level.
Fixed an issue with the water valve audio in deepmode and dynamite countdown audio not being affected by volume sliders.
