[h2]Good news, toy car ejoyers![/h2][p][/p][h3]MiniCar Shop Simulator v1.0.4 is here, and it brings A LOT of long-overdue improvements to the game. Update and play if you already own it, get it 20% OFF until January 19th![/h3][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]When we released MiniCar Shop Simulator in late October a lot of things did not align too well for us. We got very little visibility, we've had streamers and youtubers confusing our game with another game under similar title, and we didn't manage to launch a prologue game first as we originally planned. [/p][p]Not many players played the game, initially. But we were very happy to see that those who did enjoyed it immensely. It was fun, but stupid, but fun. And it got some people really excited - as a game about toy cars should.[/p][p]But there was also a lot of feedback regarding bugs, some flaws, and features not working the way people came to expect. With little rev coming our way we had to keep our time working on improving the game limited, but step by step we were doing our best to make MiniCar Shop Simulator the best possible experience, while maintaining all of its premeditated janky charm. Even the store assets merited a touch-up so they better convey what the actual game looks like![/p][h3]TL/DR: we've fixed / improved a lot of things. Here are some highlights:[/h3]
  • [p]Complete rework of the controls - most actions are now mouse-driven and contextual, no more special "action buttons" to perform simple tasks[/p]
  • [p]Stocking / unstocking shelves is better streamlined now[/p]
  • [p]You can sell multiple rare cars in the display cabinet now (three instead of one)[/p]
  • [p]Since no one got the joke with the clients in just the underwear spawning on (casual) Fridays and everyone thought it was a random bug, we've removed this feature (...or have we?)[/p]
  • [p]Stocked shelves will not launch merch into the air upon loading the game anymore (this - surprisingly - was a bug, not a feature)[/p]
  • [p]Added proper pause on the menu screen (after pressing \[esc])[/p]
  • [p]Corrected the size of the cars in the street traffic to match the size of the NPCs[/p]
  • [p]Reduced the max client queue size[/p]
  • [p]Shipping boxes open automatically after entering the store[/p]
  • [p]Much less risk of the player character getting thrown out of the map when riding the scooter (but do wear your safety helmet at all times when riding in real life!)[/p]
  • [p]Some objects you need to click now have larger hitboxes, so you don't need to be so precise[/p]
  • [p]The hired help will always stay at the register until the end of his work day[/p]
  • [p]... and many more small & big fixes and improvements![/p]
