Patch Notes

Another Day, Another Patch!
[p]Thank you once again for your feedback! We have managed to use it to make another day of bug fixes and improvements, a special shout-out to those of you who have checked the community localisation and made edits - the changes made so far have been included in this patch, so we're one step closer to being fully localised![/p]

Coloring Voxels v1.2.9 Patch Notes
Bug Fixes and Misc
• [p]Fixed a bug where auto-cycling to the next available colour was working off the "Remove Completed Layers" setting instead of the "Limit Color Palette To Layer" setting.
[/p]
Coloring Voxels v1.2.7 Patch Notes
Bug Fixes and Misc
• [p]Fixed a bug where if you had the "Remove Completed Colors From Palette" setting on and finished a colour, it wouldn't switch to the next available number.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a bug where switching colours was sometimes broken if you had the last colour in the palette selected.[/p]
[p][/p]
Coloring Voxels v1.2.5 Patch Notes
New Features
• [p]New Competition Menu Added! - Hopefully, you are aware of our voxel art competition, but if you aren't, we are continuing on our community tradition from Coloring Pixels by hosting a competition to let you have your levels in the game! This new menu, accessible from the new trophy button in the main menu, will link you to all the information you need to get started.[/p]
• [p]New "Toggle click cancel when completing colour" setting (default to on) - Disabling this allows people who are using the "Toggle Click" setting to not have to re-click each time a colour is completed in the palette.[/p]
• [p]New "Limit Colour Palette to Layer" setting (default on) - Allows people to have the colour palette filled with total colours for the whole level and not filtered to those that are on the currently selected layer.[/p]
• [p]New "Remove Completed Colors From Palette" setting (default on) - Returning from Coloring pixels by popular demand, this setting allows you to stop colours being removed from the palette when complete for that much harder gameplay.[/p][p][/p]
Bug Fixes and Misc
• [p]Korean localisation for the Soundtrack store page is now set for Korea and not Germany.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a bug where pressing Shift and Q + E would only make layers shift down instead of down and up.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a bug where the "Toggle Click" mouse cursor asset would carry through to the main menu.[/p]
• [p]When you enter a level that is half complete, after the time-lapse, the camera animates to the default starting position instead of leaving you at the wrong angle.[/p]
• [p]Swooping formatting changes to the settings menu to make things look good for various languages.[/p]
• [p]Moved the game version number to the left of the settings screen instead of the middle.[/p]
• [p]Lots of changes to the format of the exit screen to improve things for non-English languages.[/p]
• [p]Settings which operate with a toggle now correctly disable themselves when not active. Notably, this happens with the "Floor Grid" and "Toggle Click" settings.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where the camera would spiral out of control if you hit an FPS lower than 1. You should never play the game like a PowerPoint presentation, but that is a problem for another day.[/p]
• [p]Localisation text has been updated with our community-driven spreadsheet.[/p]

New Features and Bug Fixes

Let's make this game the best it can be!
[p]Thank you to all of you for playing our game over the launch weekend! Your feedback has been very valuable to us, so we can make sure we can make Coloring Voxels as good as it can be for everyone![/p][p][/p][p]We have taken all of your feedback and suggestions on board and made them into tasks for our programmer Rob to work on. Below is a list of features and bug fixes we have been able to tackle already, with many more on the way.[/p][p][/p][p]More localisation fixes were addressed over the weekend, but we know there is still some work to do to make it perfect. The amazing people over on our Community Discord have been helping us with the translations, as we have a community translation document for anyone to help out with the game localisation, so if you are bilingual (or more) and would like to help out too, please feel free to check out the document here and make any fixes you can. Thank you in advance for being an amazing support![/p][p][/p][p]The following patch notes are just the beginning of the journey for Coloring Voxels. Here are some additional, large changes you have asked for that aren't implemented yet, but we are committed to adding:[/p]
1. [p]Making the game harder: By adding settings you know and love from Coloring Pixels, such as "lock completed pixels" and "removing completed colours from palette", we will be able to provide a more puzzle-like feel to those of you who love this feeling in Coloring Pixels.[/p]
2. [p]Game Modes: Different cameras, world settings, etc, to allow you to play vertically, colour a blank model, and more![/p]
3. [p]Color Palette Options: Add a variety of options for the palette so you can see all remaining colors at once, reorder the colors per layer, etc.[/p]
[p]And many more that we have listed on Trello, ready to work on![/p][p][/p][p]Thank you once again for playing. This is the first of many patches to the game, and it will only make your time playing even more enjoyable 💖[/p][p][/p]
Coloring Voxels v1.1.0 Patch Notes
New Features
• [p]New Setting "New Voxel Animations" (Defaulted to On) - When disabled, the bouncing animations of voxels that you have just recently completed is skipped.[/p]
• [p]New Setting "Hover Over Voxel Animations" (Defaulted to On) - When disabled, voxels that are not complete will no longer get larger when you hover over them.[/p]
• [p]New Setting "Completed Voxel Animations" (Defaulted to On) - When disabled, clicking on voxels that are completed won't play the squish animation.[/p]
• [p]New Setting "Level Position Viewer Box" (Defaulted to On) - Allows you to disable the red wireframe showing where a level belongs in the world.[/p]
• [p]In addition to being able to cycle through your selected colour with Q + E, you can now scroll through the palette by holding shift and scrolling the mouse wheel.[/p][p][/p]
Bug Fixes and Misc
• [p]Fixed a bug where you couldn't color in if you zoomed out very far.[/p]
• [p]Fixed issues with the voxel counts in several Underwater levels. We have also implemented additional validation steps when doing builds to make sure these values are verified before making it to a live branch. This should fix any occurrences of achieving over 100% completion in a level.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue on two arcade levels where users would have one layer that wouldn't have cubes pop in correctly. In the backend, we have implemented additional data integrity checks to avoid this specific issue occurring in future worlds.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a typo in the level name for Boxing Machine.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a UI display glitch that rendered some specific numbers in the colour palette over 100 across two lines.[/p]
• [p]Fixed all occurrences of some special materials looking awful in the colour palette. This affected materials such as water and bigger voxels (like for flowers).[/p]
• [p]Updated credits page to include new Patreons. Beautiful and kind people.[/p]
• [p]Achievement descriptions have been changed to read "level" instead of "image".[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where changing worlds on the main menu really fast would break the main menu.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a pretty major memory leak.[/p]
• [p]Added achievements support to the Steam store page.[/p]
• [p]Fixed the visibility (eye) button on the main menu that was found next to completed levels. This button now correctly toggles the visibility of completed levels on the main menu.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a bug where the display settings weren't saving correctly. This included VSync, FPS, display mode and resolution.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where you could scroll up and down the height of the world in the main menu when you have pages such as the settings and credits open.[/p]
• [p]When the "Toggle Click to Color" setting is enabled, it no longer deactivates when you hover over UI. We are still accepting feedback on this feature. If people would like a setting to make it so it doesn't deactivate when completing a color, let us know.[/p]
• [p]When you complete a colour with the "Toggle Click to Color" setting enabled, the mouse click input is now consumed. This prevents an issue where you could click on the last voxel of a colour in a layer (disabling the toggle), then, by releasing the click, would enable it again.[/p]
[p][/p][p][/p]
Competition Reminder!
[p]Reminder, or update for those of you who missed the news, that we have a Voxel Art competition running right now, where you can create and submit your very own voxel art for the chance of it being added to the game in a free update![/p][p]Even if you haven't made voxel art before, if you've played Minecraft, LEGO, or any other block building game, you can do it! Check out full details on the competition and how to submit here: [dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p]

That's why we are committed to twelve months of DLC worlds over the next twelve months![/p][p][/p][p]The first DLC is "Computer" (as chosen by our amazing Patreons) and will be a scaled-up PC for you to colour and build, from all the intricate electronics and wiring to the flashy RGB lighting! With a deadline of the 10th of October you have plenty of time to create the perfect piece to submit![/p][p]Full details on the competition can be found here: [dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p]
A Message From the Devs
[p]Even though it's been a rough year for the Games Industry, and our little Games Studio felt the impact too, we want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to all of you, from those who have played our Coloring Games from the beginning, to those of you who have only just discovered Coloring Voxels right now. [/p][p]We wouldn't be able to develop games, something we all love doing here at ToastieLabs, without you and your love for our games.[/p][p][/p][p]We've had a great time developing Coloring Voxels, from the early days of envisioning and collaborating on concept ideas, to some long nights of programming and mornings of making Voxel art. Every step along the way has been a learning process for all three of us and an enormous amount of fun. Your overwhelming support and excitement for the game (We've hit our goal of 10,000 wishlists as of writing this, so thank you!) has just been the icing on top.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you once again! We hope you enjoy the game just as much as we have enjoyed developing it. 💝[/p][p][/p]
Your Opinion Matters!
[p]This game is brand new today, and we know there are still some features we want to add to Coloring Voxels post-launch. We are looking to add most, if not all, of the settings you are familiar with in Coloring Pixels. Here are some of those features we are committed to adding, but there is always room for more![/p][p]Features and other changes:[/p]
• [p]Toggle button to hide levels on the main menu[/p]
• [p]Achievements are currently capped at 100 (due to Steam limitations), once this cap is removed, we'll be uploading the remaining achievements, majority of which are for the Underwater world[/p]
• [p]Font Choices[/p]
• [p]Dark mode[/p]
• [p]More ways to play, not sure what yet but we know vertical mode and challenge modes have been asked for.[/p]
• [p]Seasonal Effects[/p]
• [p]Contrast settings[/p]
• [p]Performance improvements[/p]
• [p]Better Localisation. If you spot any issues with our game localisation, then suggest an edit in our Discord and we will get it changed.[/p]
[p][/p][p]If there is something not on this list that you would love to see in the game, please let us know by getting in touch here on Steam, on Discord, or just about any way you know how to get in touch with us, as we're very open to all of your feedback and suggestions to make the game a better experience for everyone![/p][p][/p]
DLC
[p]Just like Coloring Pixels, we are leaving the DLC World themes up to you! Let us know about any theme ideas you'd like to see in Coloring Voxels and we'll compile them all into a list over on our Discord Server where any member of the server can vote on the ideas they like. [/p][p]Every month, the top 5 voted suggestions will be sent to our Patreon for our Patreon supporters to vote on.[/p][p]This means your idea could very well be the next one in the game![/p][p][/p]
Game Review
[p]Last, but certainly not least, we'd be amiss not to ask you to leave a game review on Steam! It may feel cheeky to ask, but your recommendations on Steam are what make or break a game, so if you enjoy Coloring Voxels, make sure you let people know by leaving a positive review![/p][p][/p][p]That's enough chatter! Download Coloring Voxels now and get creative!

You are all amazing![/p][p]With love, the ToastieLabs team
