Dragon Detective: A Friend from the Shadows News

[p][/p][p][/p][p]Hello! I'm thrilled to announce that Dragon Detective is finally available on Steam and Nintendo Switch! It's been an interesting couple of years since my previous game launch, but I'm happy to see Dragon Detective fully completed at last. It might be my favorite story with my favorite cast that I've done so far. The demo version of Dragon Detective: A Friend from the Shadows is now available for PC via Steam! The demo lets you start at the beginning of the game and play most of the first case (approximately 90 minutes of gameplay total). Your save will carry into the full game on Steam, too, letting you pick up where you left off in the demo.

About Achievements: The full version of Dragon Detective features Steam achievements. Achievements acquired in the demo will trigger in the full game automatically at the point where the demo content ends. If you wish to unlock the "Mauve Mother" achievement in the full game, you will need to begin case 1 in the demo on Detective difficulty. You can also start over from the beginning of the case instead, if you wish.

Controls: The game can be played with the mouse, or with a keyboard or gamepad. When using a keyboard or gamepad, you can control the virtual mouse cursor with the arrow keys/left analog stick. You can also snap the cursor between menu options (for instance, notebook entries or dialog responses) by using WASD/the directional pad. Use the "Help" button in-game for a full rundown of controls.

Steamdeck Progress: Due to how the SteamDeck saves AppData files, you may need to copy your saves from the demo AppData folder to the full game's if the demo is played on the Steamdeck exclusively. The full game includes Steam Cloud functionality to sync up your saves, and continuing from the demo into the full game should work automatically on PC.
