Hotfix 4 – Backend Optimizations

Automation Update Coming March 19th!

[p]Greetings, average Terran business owners! Your feedback on how to make Roadside Research more fun was devoured like late-night gas station pizza, resulting in a new update that is being locked and loaded to turn your pit stop into an interstellar limelight of automation! [/p][p][/p][h3]The new patch will launch on March 19th. [/h3][p][/p][p]Here are the highlights: [/p]
  • [p]Automation tools including a self-scan register, self-service gas pumps, and a cleaning robot (let machines and humans do the dirty work).

  • [p]New products (sell cryogenically preserved foods like frozen pizza and ice cream). [/p]
  • [p]Shop expansion (increase the shop area to offer more of humanity’s beloved snack-based coping mechanisms). [/p]
  • [p]More shop customization (add plants to emit comforting visual stimuli for humans). [/p]
[p]Plus, various improvements and fixes will be added like optimized shelf space and getting rid of flying trash.

Patch 2 - Hotfix for crashes

[p]Hello Goopers,
[/p][p]We added some extra telemetry in yesterdays patch to track down crashes easier. We think we fixed 2 of them! [/p][p]- Crash when interacting with the open store sign[/p][p]- Crash when loading in the scene with empty boxes

Roadside Research Mini Content Update + HUGE News for Automation!

We are coming in hot with new stuff implemented, we have re-shifted priorities to bring you heavily requested content ahead of schedule and to even bring 1.0 features into Early Access. This also means that certain automation features that were initially planned for the Automation Update will be coming sooner.[/p][p][/p][p]As always, we are reading every review and forum post, it's incredibly important to us to hear what you have to say about Roadside Research's development. For some people activating their VPN fixed this aswell.[/p][p]- Fixed save slots on gamepad[/p][p]- It is possible now to clean goop under the stairs (this one was for those that had a goop stuck under the stairs due to a previous bug)[/p][p]- Fixed reflections and reflection transition in front of the station[/p][p]- Fixed and issue where it was possible to pump without hose being attached[/p][p]- Fixed filters not displaying as selected when using mouse and keyboard[/p][p]- Smaller pole collider so it doesn't block interactions with pump customers[/p][p]- The player should drop items when they press the "I'm stuck" button[/p][p]- Sponge is now moving for everyone when using a controller[/p][p]- Customers buy slightly less stuff to make sure towards the end game they don't linger around the store too much[/p][p]- Updated spinning minigame to show current influence accurately based on decay[/p][p]- Attempt at fixing missing upgrade icons[/p][p]- Added a safety window to the start of the farting minigame [/p][p]- Adjusted dirt clean times, they should take less time to clean[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]And to close things off, thank you for sharing all your insanely cool masks, you can find the creators of the ones below in the screenshots and artwork tabs of the Steam forums.[/p][p][/p]

[p]We have recently pushed two hotfixes last week, an update on what we are working on Monday. And today we have a first patch now that things are bit... calmer. Thank you for your patience![/p][p]So without further delay, here are the patch notes for today's build update.[/p][p][/p][h2]1. What we have fixed[/h2][p][/p][p]Patch Notes - Thursday, February 19th[/p]
  • [p]Fix for not being able to grab anything after interacting with the dumpster in certain cases. This was a big one! [/p]
  • [p]Fix for not being able to clean on low mouse sensitivity and high resolutions[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where settings like mouse sensitivity, FOV, etc. won't save[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the produce box would block movement and it would knock Humans out (oops)[/p]
  • [p]Changed settings when it comes to upscalers to mitigate ghosting (In the future we will provide the option to turn off and change settings of the upscalers)[/p]
  • [p]Issue where the 4th player is not able to join. We haven't been able to reproduce the error but we think we fixed it. Please update us if it works![/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where goop would be under the stairs[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where saves would get lost when the game session was terminated from outside the game[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where products would disappear from the register[/p]
  • [p]The trash scanner no longer shows double research values[/p]
  • [p]The Auto Trash Scanner generates double the points if the Scanner 2.0 is unlocked[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where a wrong payment method notification was shown when a Human rag dolled at the register[/p]
  • [p]Added dead zones to thumbstick inputs for movement, look at and navigation in menus/in game UI[/p]
  • [p]Hands should jitter less when holding boxes[/p]
