FISHING SYSTEM OVERHAUL LETS GOOOO

Fishing System V2 is now live!!
[h3] MASSIVE CPU OPTIMIZATIONS [/h3][h3] MASSIVE NETWORK OPTIMIZATIONS[/h3][h3] NEW MECHANICS[/h3][h3] NEW UI[/h3][p][/p][p]After MANY attempts, I have finally been able to rebuild the fishing system from scratch and got it to run locally on each clients machine. This means that the host’s PC will no longer have sad thoughts while running multiplayer, while remaking there were also MANY optimizations made which increase performance even for single player gameplay.  Since this new system doesn't require the host to run. Ping should no longer affect this system (probably).[/p][p]The new system uses both LMB and RMB, it should be much more intuitive and easier to get the hang of while still being difficult. Instead of Using LMB to REEL you now will reel in constantly, but if you are in the center of the bar it will reel faster, and on the sides it will reel slow. The UI was also overhauled with a new aesthetic and is displayed in-game attached to the pole (You can still use the classic on-screen UI by enabling the setting in the esc menu.)[/p][p](There may still be a few bugs with this system as it was a major overhaul so if you do encounter any issues please let me know on discord or steam discussions and I will have them fixed asap)[/p]
  • [p]Bobber is much smoother now when moving in water.[/p]
  • [p]The size of the fish (not just species) now plays a large role on the difficulty to catch a given fish. This means that you won't spend two minutes reeling in a tiny paddlefish.[/p]
  • [p]Amount of days survived bonus is now less randomized.[/p]
  • [p]Nerfed Beer Bonus[/p]
    • [p]Before it would give an 80% bonus when max drunk (8% boost per beer)[/p]
    • [p]Beer is now nerfed and changed to a new formula, instead of 8% per beer the formula has been changed for a float graph that makes the first beer drank worth 8% boost and then each beer after worth slightly less, (the new max boost after 9.9 beers is 30%.[/p]

  • [p]Thunder Storm bonus changed from 20% -> 25%[/p]
  • [p]Fishing at Night time now gives a 10% bonus to bait score. (18:00 and after)[/p]
  • [p]Butcher Table now required 20% more fish point value for each tier of bait

  • [p]Fixed a bug where fish traps would sometimes need to be picked up and replaced in order to get them to catch a minnow again.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where some bait types would sometimes not spawn[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where some creatures would spawn in the sky on the lake map[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where bait would not be able to navigate on the jungle map[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where the worm horn would collect pearls aswell[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where selecting the drowning perk would not actually change the time to drown[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where the oxygen meter would not work correctly for clients[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where getting near certain bait could sometimes cause a fatal error (game crash)[/p]

Arctic Map WIP + Optimizations + Achievements + Fixes

For the next week or so there wont be as many updates since me and my brother are working on some major features atm.
Im currently working on the new arctic map and my brother is working on remaking the fishing system from scratch.

For those who want to know more...
The arctic map will be slightly larger than the Jungle map
-It will contain around 10 new species of bait
-15 new fish[/p][p]- new legendary fish[/p][p]- new monsters ofcourse[/p][p]-new tech for traversing the map[/p][p]-floating/moving icebergs[/p][p]-lots of other stuff... im cooking rn [/p][p][/p][p]Fishing system rework... The primary issue with the current fishing system is that the entire system runs on the hosts computer. This causes extra ping and cpu usage on the hosts computer which is a poor expeirence for both the hosts and the client.[/p][p]-There will also be changes to the fishing mechanic itself but that is still very much work in progress[/p][p][/p][h2]PATCH NOTES[/h2]

CPU Optimizations + Mythic Fish Catch Rate BOOSTED

I noticed no one has caught the fancy new fish:( This update should help out with that

I spent the last 6-7 hours working on some cpu optimiztions for yall aswell, sadly you won't be able to cook eggs on your cpu anymore... In addition to the things I fixed already, the primary cause for cpu spikes has to do with the fishing system when playing multiplayer, which is now officially under construction (it has to be completely rewritten plz pray for your local dev)
[/p][p]Also if you experienced a "fatal error" crash that should be fixed now aswell
