Red Rust Pioneers - Development Update #4
Howdy, Pioneers,
[p]Another month’s flown by faster than a runaway wagon, and would you look at that, it’s Halloween already! [/p][p]Now, if there’s one thing folks love when the nights draw in, it’s a good ghost story told around a cracklin’ campfire. Heck, my grandma used to spin yarns about a spectral locomotive that would rocket past the farm where she grew up... wait a second, that‘s from Ghostbusters. [/p][p]Anyhow, now feels like the perfect time to introduce you to Red – one of the colorful characters you’ll meet out on the trail in Red Rust Pioneers. Red’s a trapper who makes regular trips out West to Red Rust Valley to hunt, trade, and spin tall tales over a bottle of whiskey. [/p][p]He’s a man with a hundred stories, and we thought we’d share one that’s perfect for this time of year. [/p][p]

[/p]
Behind the Scenes
[p]While Red’s been telling tales, we’ve been busy too! [/p][p]October’s been all about building and polishing core systems, with two big areas of focus: [/p][p]Fishing Mechanics – We’ve finished updating the fishing system, adding new UI elements and gameplay tweaks to make it more fun and challenging. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Inventory Overhaul – Work is continuing on the brand-new inventory system. It’s a big job and taking a little longer than expected, so that work will continue through November, and possibly into December. [/p]
What’s Coming in November
[p]We’re keepin’ the momentum going as we head into winter, with plenty more exciting updates in the works: [/p][p]• Continuing the inventory system overhaul [/p][p]• Updating the crafting and building UI and controls [/p][p]• Improving character models and animations [/p][p]• Further polishing the Overlook Lake area [/p][p]• Adding new crafting recipes [/p][p]We’ll be back next month with another update from the trail.
[/p][p]In the meantime, we hope you enjoy Red’s tale – and from all of us here at Rusty Robot, have yourselves a spooky, safe, and fun-filled Halloween! [/p][p]Until next time, stay safe out there, Pioneers. [/p][p]– Rusty [/p][p]P.S. Don’t forget to boil your tea.[/p]
