What games did you play?[/p][p]It all started with RuneScape for about 13+ years. I still watch videos even though I don’t play it anymore. I also played a lot of FPS games, including Counter Strike, Call of Duty, and a little bit of Battlefield. Then, when that all started boring me, I started playing Guild Wars 2, which I fell in love with on the 2nd time trying it for real, still one of my go-to games when new expansions come out. I’ve also played FFXIV and all of its story up until Dawntrail patches, amazing game also.[/p][p]​[/p][p]How long have you been playing Blade & Soul?[/p][p]Since the headstart on launch.[/p][p]​[/p][p]How did you first discover Blade & Soul? What initially caught your interest?[/p][p]I was just looking for some MMO with good combat and gameplay and I stumbled upon on “PlayBNS” Russian private server and that got me hyped for the actual western release. It was just like mind-blowing for how great the combat felt even with 200ms, I knew this was gonna be my game.[/p][p]​[/p][p]Are/were you in a clan? If so, which clan?[/p][p]There were many clans, mostly known for “PlaytoWin”. Currently in a clan called “Gaming”.[/p][p]​[/p][p]Have you always been the same class? If not, why did you change?[/p][p]Originally, I was a Blade Master until level 50 patch, then I fell in love with my alt Blade Dancer and it quickly became my main character.[/p][p]​[/p][p]What do you like most about your current class?[/p][p]Spin to win baby![/p][p]It’s mostly because it can do pretty much anything, I can tank (almost always have in my parties), Do mechanics fast with spin speed and CC immunity, Grab for insane damage for the rest of the party. [p]​[/p][p]What is the most ridiculous or unexpected thing that ever happened to you in-game?[/p][p]It’s impossible to just pick one… I have seen and experienced things that most can only imagine… From countless ways to wipe simple mechanics, Good and Bad RNG, ways people have abused, cheated and cheesed in this game. No other has such a rich history like this for me and I’m not sure if I should laugh or cry about it now.[/p][p]​[/p][p]Do you remember your first time launching B&S? What stands out?[/p][p]The launch hype, queue on login, everyone rushing to max and learning a new game together. Just exploring a brand-new world with insane action combat, best memories of the game.[/p][p]​[/p][p]What was your biggest “I finally did it” moment?[/p][p]Clearing new raids for the first time was always a big moment for me and my raid members. Also, clearing Tower of Infinity floor 100 for the very first time was one of those moments for sure, those AI bots had some hands. Players appreciated the smooth, efficient runs having a proper tank, and I was grateful to be of service.[/p][p]​[/p][p]An earlier memory would be during the peak Moonwater era. A Crimson Summoner and I fought each other for at least an hour, constantly respawning and going at it nonstop. At one point, he whispered me in anger, and I responded calmly, asking why there was so much hostility. That led to a mutual understanding and respect, and we ended up sitting down and just talking. [/h3][p]What makes your character special or unique?[/p][p]I think my character's looks were unique enough to be discernible from others because whenever I would put on my Cerulean Mask to pvp - people knew it was me.[/p][p]​[/p][p]What makes your clan special?[/p][p]Everyone shared a similar mindset and drive, and that collective passion is what kept the clan alive for so long. I believe Vengeful was one of the longest-running active clans in the game.[/p][p]​[/p][p]How has B&S and its community changed over the years?[/p][p]I’d say it evolved from a large, casual global player base into a smaller, more dedicated community. The original raid mechanics became a hurdle for players who couldn’t commit large amounts of time. Not everyone could put in 8-16+ hours per week just to learn raid mechanics. We all come from different walks of life, and for some of us, gaming is simply a way to turn off our brains and that is how I am nowadays[/p][p]​[/p][p]Have you ever quit and come back? What brought you back?[/p][p]I quit around August 2020. It was extremely difficult for me to do so, as I found it hard to walk away from everything I had invested in the game. The combat is what really makes the game so appealing. Any form of monetization in the game should be purely cosmetic rather than pay-to-win. Players’ time and effort should be respected, and progression should come from gameplay, not spending. Developers have to earn the right to monetize their games. That means you shouldn’t force players into spending money. Instead, the game should be fun and fair first, and players will support you because they actually enjoy it. I started out as a Blade Master because I’ve always had a thing for single-handed sword classes in video games. Even before that, I was always envious of Kung Fu Master’s fluid and addictive animations. Over time, my preference shifted toward either punchy classes or supportive/healer archetypes—but if I’m allowed to punch, then by default, I’ll punch things![/p][p]​[/p][p]What do you like most about your current class?
An amazing playstyle supported by the best combo loop the game has to offer, both gameplay- and visuals-wise. Kung Fu Master just feels right. Aside from the usual single-player games, I am a complete MMO nerd. I’ve played pretty much every MMO under the sun at some point—and then some. My favorite MMO is ArcheAge, but the Aion franchise holds a special place in my heart. I also tend to prefer Korean MMOs over those from other regions. Even today, I mostly play legacy MMOs such as FFXIV, Cabal Online, Black Desert, and Vindictus over more recent releases.[/p][p]​[/p][p]How did you first discover Blade & Soul? What initially caught your interest? I first discovered Blade & Soul through the G-Star trailers back in the day, and the combat demos immediately captivated me. At the time, MMOs rarely featured fast-paced combat with fluid animations, aside from a select few. That, combined with the unique art style, amazing character models, and very unique outfits, solidified Blade & Soul as a must-play for me.[/p][p]​[/p][p]After getting familiar with the game, what kept you coming back?
The continuation of the storyline and expanding my outfit collection always kept pulling me back into Blade & Soul.[/p][p]​[/p][p]What makes Blade & Soul stand out compared to other games you’ve played?
Superior combat pacing, cosmetics, and art style. I love collecting pretty things in games, and Blade & Soul scratches that itch very nicely.[/p][p]​[/p][p]Why do you like the version of the game you’re currently playing (LIVE or NEO)?
I prefer NEO for its pre-Awakening combat style and its different approach to the economy. As a fully free-to-play player, having access to the entire store is a huge plus. It allows me to obtain all store-exclusive items and virtually all cosmetics simply by playing the game.[/p][p]​[/p][p]Have you always played this version, or did you switch? Why?
I didn’t like the Awakening patch in Live or the increased focus on raids. I’m not much of a raiding person, and I strongly prefer content designed for smaller party sizes. The shock turned into about 45 seconds of uncontrollable laughter and pacing around my room at four in the morning. I would consider the Silverfrost expansion to be the golden era of Blade & Soul. We organized boost runs for carry events during NEO’s Moonwater era, and I’d like to believe I made meaningful contributions to overall progression. Maybe not as many as people like Wubble—but I was there too![/p][p]What makes your clan special? We have two clans for each faction, totaling four clans overall, so we’re quite large. Both our Cerulean Order and Crimson Legion clans are Rank 10, achieved without any mandatory donation system. Our strong sense of community is, I believe, what truly sets us apart.[/p][p]​[/p][p]What is your clan’s reputation on your server?
I believe we’re currently the largest clan in EU. As far as I’m aware, most players have a positive outlook on us. We’re doing our best to spread good vibes![/p][p]​[/p][p]Any favorite or legendary clan stories?

I’m very proud of the size of my wardrobe! I tackle every piece of content purely for cosmetics, no matter what it is—and I’ll continue doing so until the end of time. I love the economy being based on Divine Gems. It allows me to buy anything and everything from the store simply by playing the game. I soft-quit after the release of the Raven King raid. While the raid itself was fun and fresh, the lack of content variety started to wear on me. I enjoy doing things beyond endless combat—such as lifeskilling and housing—and Blade & Soul unfortunately falls short in that regard. After a long cooldown period, I became more active again around the Nightfall Sanctuary patch.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]♥︎ Personal Connection ♥︎[/h2][h2]​[/h2][p]Has Blade & Soul ever helped you through a difficult time?
